|

So, I just bought an expensive bottle of Vodka 'cause I loved the bottle... looked very art-deco/Blade Runner, something you would find at Taffy's. It really is a great vodka too! Vox Vodka... one side has bumps the other vertical ridges. I just couldn't help myself, even with the looks of disdain from my girlfriend I had to have it!

anyone else have some interesting bottles in their collection? |

I spend too much time at the local liquer store...one of the guys there knows me by name.
I got into the habit of going in and walking slowly around the store admiring the different shapes, sizes, textures, whatever...
After this guy asked me many times if he could help me find something I finally replied:
"Yeah, where would I go to have a bottle of my OWN design made?"
He replied that no-one had ever asked him that before and thus began a long search...well, actually it began with the first time I saw BR and I just didn't know it.
This guy at the liquer store was very interested and very helpful...I've promised to bring him by a BR Whiskey Bottle when all is said and done.
Cool bottle Cenobite! There's just so many to choose from. I recently fell in love with the Tommy Bahama Rum Bottle...same design as the Trump Bottle but I prefer the Rum. And the shape is Square, the hardest shape to reproduce in bottles... |

Oh, nice find, Once-bitten. The Tommy Bahama bottle looks quite 'classic art-deco'. Looks like I will have to pick up one! |

Let's NOT forget this one:
Seth hit me on this and I believe it's still pictured in his avatar, it's the Whiskey Bottle used in the new Battlestar Galactica. Very COOL and comes with a matching shot-glass on top.
All it needs are those nifty Glass-Etched Symbols on the sides and you are good to go!
Cheapest price I have found on it is through Sam's Wines on-line. |

For a short time, I owned one of those Brilliant bottles with the etched design from BSG. Sadly, I had to sell it shortly before my move last year to help pay some expenses. It was cool looking, though. _________________ Pete |

Hey Pete, you don't happen to have a good pic of those designs from the bottle do you? |

Not really. The only shot I have doesn't really show the logo very well.
The first version (I think) was just the stylized "L" from the old cubits on the faces. For the later version, they used the same logo, but did some kind of oval design around it. They used to have a thread about it over at ASAP. If you do a search there, you're bound to find it.
Or, I know that it was originally created by spcglider@aol.com from the RPF (or ASAP). You might try asking him if he's got some shots of it. _________________ Pete |

Talked to spcglider and he didn't have any pics for me but I did find this:
Thinking about practicing my glass etching skills on my BV Bottle. |

I just bought this full size bottle of St.Germains after scouring the town for it.
I first discovered and purchased the little version(and for a little version it's still
a nice hunk of glass)because they didn't have the big one in stock.
The big one is such a cool bottle even at over $30 and the French liquer within it is quite sublime...
If you have the means of picking some up I highly recommend it!

Wow, that's funny - - - My wife actually bought a bottle of this about a week ago. I'll have to agree with you, the drink itself is QUITE good, & having such a substantial/unique bottle is just an added bonus. _________________
