Rick,
Please take care and know that you have many friends if you ever need anything.
Most importantly, do not rush anything.
Take care,

Superb work!
I just picked up a black Blade Runner style Sega game system gun, and am about to start a retrofit on it. It'll include a brass tube with a soldered nut, and a glow plug, so it will fire magician's pyro charges (flash cotton and flash paper).
I really like the non-traditional versions of the BR props.

The pearl handled Enforcer is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. I think I would sell my left arm for one of these (I need my right for shooting...).
Is Rick still out of contact?
Any word on whether these will someday be available?
Does anyone know how to make simulated pearl handled grips like those pictured for a PKD-I 97? |

Thanks, man, and that's awesome news. First and foremost because he's sorely missed, and secondly because it might offer the opportunity to satisfy my own grasping covetousness.
I dream in pearl-handled Enforcers and electric sheep. |

Welcome Feist..."real" mother-of-pearl" grips are difficult to achieve (you could try a light off white colour as a background and then apply those special plastic wrap that people use for gift and birthdays (to get that rainbow effect)...you'll have to spray your grips with transparent glue. |

I think Rick uses pearlescent powder in clear resin IIRC for the grips. I think he may have talked about it more thourougly earlier in the thread.

Forgive my ignorance, but is there even a way to get the plastic amber grips to hold paint? (I haven't tried). If the pearl-handled effect really does require its own resin casts, I'm afraid that will require talents beyond my pay grade.
I do well to get ice cubes out of the tray. |

You can paint the amber grips. Just treat as resin. Sand lightly and prime and paint. |

Great news - he is conspicuous in his absence and missed around here. Glad to hear he is doing better.
You know when you open up one of Rick's threads there will be surprises (and cool pictures)!
And as far as the Enforcer goes, I've been rooting for it for over 2 years now!

Hi,
I'm still here. I apologize to you all. Due to some issues in my life that have taken me away my work, I have yet to finish the Enforcer and the Chess Set. I still plan on finishing them both, as well as a few other BR related projects that have been on my shelf waiting their turn. As soon as I can get organized and start making some real progress, I will post some kind of time frame. Please bear with me.
Sincerely,
Rick _________________
