I haven't been to the official BR Final Cut board in a while and what a ghastly surprise was waiting... Porno and Propiecia spam ads.
So I decided to start posting in back threads to bring them to the front. For what it's worth, let's not let those asshats clutter the front threads of the board. However it looks like it has been abandoned. Warner should just pull it down if they won't take care of it.

On the other hand I guess in a way it's fitting end for a decaying board about a distopian story. |

I joined the board before they officially released it. Many of us from Bladezone and Alt.fan.bladerunner had joined in as soon as the website was up. So they decided to start a new one and abandon the old one. I never re-enlisted. The boards over at IMDB are bad enough I had to stop going there too.
The whole site has had very few updates since it was introduced. they still show the upcoming dates for the theatrical release of the Final Cut as New York and Los Angeles, even though it has been playing across the country non stop since then.
It is too bad, I had high hope for an official site, but in a way it shows how important the fan sites are for this movie. Of course many of them have been quiet recently too. Bladezone, BRmovie, BRprops and many of the other main sites too. Propsummit actually seems to be the hottest BR fan site/forum out right now.
The Official site does have some good downloads though. Check out the NYU Film Festival clip.
Mostly I had hoped that a lot of the stuff that was not able to be put on the DVD set because of time constraints to get it out for Christmas, would have shown up on the site, but it never did.
Oh well.

The top three posters on that site currently are porn spambots posting 60-70 spam messages per day.
It's a shame that nobody is overseeing the site. As spinner44.com wrote, if Warner Bros. is not going to maintain the site, they'd be better off taking it down.
It's a shame. _________________ "Your old titles mean nothing here... Captain!" |
