Let me restate what I was saying too. I want a real technical piece of art with information and specs more than a graphic designer piece that will look cool. In the end it will look cooler as a result. Excellent work Space Jockey

I have seen this exact same thing on several other websites. The interesting thing is that you can see the drive towers in the unpressurized part of the nostromo looking down from the windows of Brett and parkers engineering room.
The only mistake is it should read LOCKMART, not the literal "Lockeed martin |

Yeah me too...I like the tech spec at the end, it sounds like one of the guys from 'The Big Bang Theory' wrote it, which would be fine by me...
It makes sense to use information that is already out there, including Ron Cobb's spec, rather than creating something entirely new as that'll confusion everyone. Needs a couple of amendments to make it consistant with the Aliens Tech Manual, but only real minor stuff. |

I guess that makes sense about parker telling ripley that they will need to drydock to fix certain things, given that that whole central reactor enclosure of the Nostromo is not pressurized. ..makes a lot of sense actually. |

This is where it's at right now; I won't be amending anymore until I receive comments back from the modelmaker.
I found too that LOCKMART is a shortened or slang term for Lockheed Martin.
Thanks,
-SJ

Looking good, looking p-r-e-t-t-y good!
You planning to show the crew lift deployed, with little crewmen waving? (Or maybe just a crewman, for scale...) |

Yeah, I haven’t shown both the Narcissus and Salmacis yet; probably no point in drafting it up until Martin’s had the opportunity to look at it. |

I learnt some interesting trivia on the Nostromo model this last week which I found interesting.
The full-size set was made first, before the models, which explains some of the discrepancies with the airlock and Ash's Observation Blister location (once the model was built, they probably found there wasn't enough room to show it around the front landing leg).
In fact, due to a lack of communication, a block of wood appeared clad in model parts with an Airfix B29 Superfortress front dome window stuck on to to represent Ash's observation blister. This block of wood also housed the airlock.
However, it was found that this had accidently been postioned covering up the hole for the front landing leg to connect to, so it had to be moved back to accomodate.
On the final movie, it was taken off altogether. |

As for the blueprints, I'm now in the process of trying to get them licensed. I figure that if I don't, they'll end up scanned and on ebay. I know I've already shown previews, but these have already ended up on a reference artwork page elsewhere along with countless other copyrighted artwork, and it bothers me that on the site there's an icon where you can click and turn it into a t-shirt or mug or something.
So we'll see how it goes - thanks for the patience.
I've also made some modifications to the engines and added the shuttlecraft to front and rear views.

Ehh gaad!! That's what I don't need to hear; appropriation of blood, sweat and tears (your work Space Jockey). I think the licencing approach is a good one...with the hope that your work will not end-up on EvilBay...unless you said so |

That would be interesting to see. Whatever that is poised on the forward gear's doors in the film is difficult to make out...though most of it appears to be the "feet" for the airlock lift. |
