is the 'non-pre-wired' version solid? or just hollow with no wires?
sorry if this has been answered, already, i'm search engine challenged. |

I know I'm on the list for the barrel, but was there a seperate list for the sight rod also? I was interested in getting one of those also. The wired type. Thanks. |

Got mine in the mail yesterday--very nice precision machined piece. I can't wait to have a blaster to attach it to!
I might also add that Michael has some of the neatest handwriting I've ever seen |

I used to do Industrial design for Brownlie Design in the late 80's and a few other companies, but ended up doing more in the way of packaging design later. It is what I got my degree in at RIT. All because of Syd Mead too (and Joe Johnston).

Looks like im in good company. And yep my heros were mead, johnston, Cobb and the like. I really got into ID just because I wanted to go into film. Somehow I was lucky enough to do it.
Funny thing is that years later when I was working at The Orphanage here in San Fran we got to work on the BR re-release. We did fun things, like paint out the wires on the Spinner and the like, but it was amazing to play with the 4k plates.
But I digress...

For those of you that have ordered the prewired version about half of them are being shipped out tomorrow. I hope to have the remainder later this week.
Have a better one.

Started breaking down my Sidkit to install the sight rod and barrel. Discovered that I epoxied the barrel in for extra stability originally. Gonna have to crack that up somehow.
Also, I suspect since my Sidkit is the pre-Worldcon version, the sight rod screw holes on the cylinder cover are slightly off. I may have to fill one of the existing holes with some molten pewter and then re-bore it. Not a big deal, I had to do the same for some of the cast screws I dremeled out to replace with real ones and also the occasional "whoops". |
