I think Deckard's bed covering is a tad more refined than moving pad.
Close match but accurate it isn't. The quilting pattern is herringbone and you'll note that there is a seam stitched at each vortex. Would seem as popular as quilted spreads are and as common as herrinbone pattern is that something would surface. |

Yeah, and no way would he get a girl (replicant or otherwise) into the sack with him with a moving blanket instead of sheets. _________________ Wait; I'm having one of those things! You know; a headache with pictures? |

I dunno! In Stripes, Bill Murray got Sean Young excited just showing her an egg beater . |

Yeah i was just following the lead from the High Tech book and youre right about the stitch. On the next page of the High Tech book someone has sewn movers pads together and covered a whole sofa/bed affair that looks not unlike the BR sketchbook drawings. Maybe I'm on the wrong track altogether. If you look hard enough you can find movers blankets with the line of stich at the vortex but not in black.
Heres another quilt that I originally ignored for being even less like the Deck one but if I'll bet its a damn sight comfier!

Imagine when she finds out that his super duper 3d photograph scanning computer thingy is just a portable telly with two travel alarm clocks nailed to it! |

Another chair.
Okey dokey folks. Don't know whether this has been unearthed already or falls into the 'common knowledge' or 'just not interested' category but i thought i'd give the pot a stir.
I've kind of suspected for a while that the piece of furniture seen below (just as Deck has begrudgingly allowed Rach into his pad) was Charles Rennie Mackintosh's 'Willow Chair' designed for The Willow Tea Rooms in Glasgow but have been too lazy to properly identify it. So seeing as I've only just got my hands on an uncompressed HD copy of BR I thought i'd take another look. What do you think?
Here's a 3D rendering of it seen from a slight angle.
A thing of beauty but, like the Argyle chair, one which you'd have to pay big bucks for.
Thoughts?

How did I miss that one? I posted a bunch of the Mackintosh chairs in another thread and that is one of my favorites. I don't know how I never saw it before. Time to watch the movie again. |

I haven't watched it since the new cut was first announced. Couldn't resist a peek at the HD versh though.
I've always liked these two chairs - do you know what they are?

I saw them in a furniture magazine back in the 80's. Not sure if they are anything special, but they are out there. |

I recently snagged an HD version of the flick and have been capping some great stuff. Some good new info to be found in the extra pixels.
That Chair is really gorgeous. Great find!

Hey, this is my 1st post to the site. This is a great resource for a daily Blade Runner fix. I have some great photos of the apartment but I'm not sure how to attach them to my post. I'll give a try or I'll try to upload them to the new upload section(?)(can you tell I'm NOT a web designer?).....

Fixed for you Rustyn242, all you have to do is highlight the Image url and hit the Img button in the message post control panel (above where you type in the message). You can only highlight the Text though, and no spaces or punctuation.
Thank you for the images.
By the way just curious if the 242 has anything to do with the band Front 242? |

Great pics!
Best shot I've seen of that hallway lamp back there.
If you have any other such photos please post away!

If you check his feedback, you'll see that quite a few RPF/PropSummit members have gotten ducks from this seller (jedirick, KarlBud and I are all past customers). I'm very happy with the one that I got (I've named him Rick Duckard). _________________ Pete |

Hey, Thanks for fixing my post. And thanks for the welcome to the boards. I just purchased an opium weight duck this saturday- I picked one that was as close to the film one that I could get.
Hey, in reguards to rare pictures - does anyone remember an ebay auction from the spring of 2005? The seller was selling several thousand production slides from Blade Runner. It went for several thousand dollars but the really sad thing is noone is really sure who the buyer was ( no idea if they would make and sell prints or not) the ebay seller was not very helpful either. Can't really blame him though- he probably got tons of emails about that auction.
Does anyone know any details about this?
thanks, Rustyn _________________ My Karma ran over my Dogma. |
