Putting another little Mad Max display together and could use some help or advise to finish it off.
Its a replica of some fo the interior of the intercepter. The same model steering wheel used in first two movies and the fuel gauge and warning light seen in the second.
SCREEN SHOT
To finish it off i need to insert the photo Max uses to fuel his revenge.
Here is the screen shot of what i mean, spun 180
It comes from this pic, another screen shot
This is the best i can do with this pic, if anyone can sharpen up this pic and post it here or let me know of a good free program that would clean
it up, it would be very helpfull.
Cheers. _________________ Formerly offworld66 |

Looking killer! Tim.
Wish I still had Photoshop, would love to try and get that picture sorted.
Hopefully someone can help.

Very cool Tim.
I dumped your screen grab of that image into Photoshop real quick to see if I could do anything for you, but I'm afraid you're not going to get anything out of it that's not already there. Just not enough resolution unfortunately. Sharpening it just sharpens the few pixels (pixel groups on the blow-up) that are there.
The full screen grab of the photo you posted was 650x360, I presume that's the largest grab that can be pulled from the DVD?
What size does the final insert need to be? Wish I could be more help with this.

One other thing: Is that a Maxrob steering wheel? I would love to know where you picked that up. I currently have a similar wheel on my car but I lack the Ford center cap. I'd love to pick one of those up. |

Thanks very much guys.
Yes Hass, its a Max Rob. I was just very lucky finding it, the gauge and the warning light all off the same guy. They were on ebay and
very expensive so i contacted the guy and made a deal after they were passed in. I just googled MAX ROB - MAX ROB STEERING WHEEL- MAD MAX STEERING WHEEL
and it lead me there.
The fuel gauge is interesting as it was made by the dobros company here in Australia but in conjuction with George Miller himself and is pretty much a one off gauge,
before the movie the gauge didnt exist. Ten were made for the movie and afterwards Miller sold them to members
of a Mad Max website. Pretty cool. The guy who made mine says it is an exact replica from one of those originals.
The warning light is a standard brake light found on nearly all trailers made in Australia for decades.
I put a rush job together for the pic insert, will do for now. What i will have to do is get the Blu Ray and play it on a friends pc with screen capture, this should give
something better to work with.

Thanks Andy
Hass, if i can think of a way or if you can, to replicate the Ford insert i can gladly do it. It just pops out. Although mine is covered up with
the pic, i still need it if it has to be sold in the future. _________________ Formerly offworld66 |

Oh no worries on that. I appreciate the offer though. I imagine I'll eventually be able to find something similar for my car. Thanks for the info on your stuff; that's a great find. |
