I do like the sloping cut to the barrels on the concept gun.Definately would have been cool as Deckards back up but yeah not good as the main gun. |

Thank you guys for your warm feedbacks !!!
Here is a new pic : The wiggets (most of them are Lego, lol) were added to the side of the barrel and the entire gun primered... It gives a rough idea of what it'll look like, once completed...
To be continued soon !
Fred

Seriously cool Fred!
Love the details.
What finish are you going to give it? Ivory grips would look great

Nope, sorry Neil , no ivory grips intended on this gun...
To tell you the truth, I'm a little fed up with ivory grips... Everytime someone want to build a personal version of a BR blaster, they have those damn ivory grips !
Mine will have the colors and used look of the Worldcon, at least that's what I want to do at this point... We'll see !
New pics soon !

Hehe...I know what you mean.
A WC look would be great on this blaster.
Can't wait for the upcoming pictures.

I don't think so Neil: this gun is hidden, no need to advertise its location with a light show |

I had been thinking about modding the one I have too. I was thinking I could make the cap on the grips be a twist off cover and another round of ammunition could be inside. It reminded me too much of the screw drivers with the interchangeable bits in the handle.
Fred, Awesome work so far. I love the stuff where people use their own ideas to fill out the BR universe. I will be watching this one closely.

Thanks a lot for the kind words, mates !
Great idea for the grips, Andy !!! (it makes sense when, as you underscore it, you look at this shape...)
JB you'e going to be disappointed at some point because this gun will have a light show incorporated in the handle... What would a BR blaster be without lights, anyway ?
Fred
PS : Gold AK's, Neil ? No kidding ??? Where the hell did you see this ? A documentary about Saddam Hussein ? An old Gangsta videoclip ? A deleted boot-camp sequence in Sex & the city ?
I want to know !!!

Actually, I saw some photos that a tourist "illegally" took in N. Korea, & the guards for Kim Jong-il were sporting Gold Kalashnikov's, outside his palace/fortress/whatever-you-want-to-call-his-house. _________________

Sure Fred, the usual lights on the blaster are what we're used to...Neil just went over the edge (my taste of course) with lights in the grip |

Haha!
You could have LED's in the grips that had a light sequence as well.
Change the sequence depending on the mood.

OK guys, you're attention please, we're back on topic now !
I've banged the primered gun on stones, just to add a few impacts and inperfections on the whole body (remember, I'd like to give it a Worldcon look). It looks impressive on some areas but the impacts will be partialy erased by the future coats of paint that still need to be applied...
I've also applied an undercoat of black to the grips. Their final color will be brown. Here is a pic of both versions of the gun, while they look almost identical in shades of grey.
A last pic with the barrel painted silver and partialy weathered using Staar's technique (graphite applied, then erased with my tumb).
Still lot of paintjob to do before it's done... More pics soon... Thanks for looking !
