Hi,

I've just finished the prototype for my latest PKD variant. This is my idea of the gun that Zhora would have carried. At the moment I do not know if I will be making kits of this or built-ups. I only submit these photos for your enjoyment and feedback. I hope you like them.

Thank you.

Rick

Absolutely fantastic. I love the paint finish as well.

Just finished my snub so this would look awsome next to it.

Good God man. GOOD GOD. Are you crazy? Are you trying to kill us all? Shocked

You just kicked our collective asses Rick.

For lack of a better way to say it, it looks (to my eyes) like you "anime-d" the snubby out. I just get a huge anime design vibe (which is way beyond cool) and if it's possible you can actually see the story telling in the weapon design. You can't say that too often.

I love it man. Just friggin love it. All the grips are bad ass, and the modified grip frame really brings the style out of her. And the front end makes it look likea cannon. A blade runner "blunderbuss" (which isn't my favorite word in the dictionary, but you get the idea) that looks like it could take down a squad of spinners!

I'm inspired. Flat out amazing Rick. This is why we all love your work!! You're a true original.

Almost forgot: I dig the green laser sight!!

Thank you all for your kind words. I'm glad you like it. When it's ready for sale, I will post it in the Prop Shop.

Sincerely,
Rick

Rick,

I am starting to think that maybe you should try and contact some American airsoft companies and show them some of your work. I think they might be interested in working with you to make working versions of your guns. I can say the idea of a functioning versions of your designs makes me shudder with glee Twisted Evil . So cool Cool

Rick, I know it's been asked before, but how did get the weathering to look so perfectly faded and holster worn, instead of scuffed and scratched? Rub N' Buff? Steel wool and a silver paint undercoat? Some ancient prop building magic?

Hi Noeland,

Actually, I just used black Krylon Primer and Silver Rub-n-Buf. The key is to wet sand w/ fine grit sandpaper between each coat of primer until you get a nice smooth surface w/o loss of color. Afterwards, you apply R-n-B with your fingertip very sparingly and then buff w/ said fingertip.

I hope this is helpful.

Rick

I haven't tried using Rub N Buff on props yet, I guess I'm going to have to give it a go.

Thank you!!
