yeah this seller knows what they've got, and put an outrageously high bid on it to begin with.

The starting bid wasn't nearly that high. It has 17 bids on it that drove it up.

I guess I am always convinced people are unscrupulous on the Ebay, bidding from ghost accts.

you're probably right

People can bid things up a little bit, but if they bid it up too high, they will be paying all the fees and still have their item. At that price the fees aren't little either. I have seen these watches go for a couple hundred before, but I think it is more than just BR fans that are bidding it up. I am sure they are playing a part though. Watch collectors can be even more insane though.

Funny how a few unscrupulous people can taint a whole place though.

I bought the Microma watch. Not a scandal or a rigged price.

I am a blade runner fanatic. I bidded against Paul Allen on the Police Spinner, and lost obviously. Actually a great thing as he restored it to it's spender and put it on display for all of us to enjoy.

Actually, you all should be happy, now everyone who has one of these will offer it up for sale in the hope to get top dollar for it. FYI, my reserve was much higher than the actual selling price.

Let the prop lover/mayhem begin!! Wink

That was a fun auction to watch. Great to see everyone talking about it already!

I'm kicking myself for not picking one up years ago before the prices got so high.

Smile

Oh yeah, Congrats on a beautiful watch! Good to see it go to a real collector.

Wow, I was lurking in the shadows.... with my sniper ready, but Holy Cow! this high price is insane for me. Respect here, of course, but... well, it's not my choice to spend so much money in items like that.

If I was able to drop more than $3,000 I'll invest them in a trip to LA for sure! Very Happy

Long life to BR collectors!!!!

I shudder to think what the original would go for.

The seller obviously knew what he had. Wink

The starting bid was like $20. A fair price for any other more common digital watch of that age.

I bet the seller is totally flabergasted.

Looks like he just sells random stuff. It was probably just another watch in a pile of watches he was auctioning.

Nice condition though. I wonder if it's still functional?

Wow, bidding ended at US $3,350.00.

For that kind of vig, the watch really should have one of those James Bond lasers or dart guns in it.

Sure makes me feel good about mine, its functional and has the original
case, turning it black professionaly runs around $300, well worth the investment now i think.

If your interested in the rest of the outfit to go with that watch, PM me.
