Hey guys,

I'm on some tight times and I may need to sell the SidKit I bought shortly after he passed. I'm not sure how much I should be asking for this puppy.

It has all parts and is unassembled/unfinished. It's the all metal for clarification.

I also have an amazingly done sight rod from MS Paw.

I'd entertain offers or just some guidance on what I should be asking for it. I can't find one on eBay at the moment.

Thanks everyone!
David

Thanks guys. Hauptmann,

I'll get back to you once I know more of what to expect or what I'll do. If I decide to sell separate, you're first in line.

Thanks again.

The last one on Ebay went for a little over $300. $305 I think. That is real low. Most the ones I have seen on Ebay go for $400 to $500.

Right now with the new Japanese one is out and Rich's second run is in full swing the market is a little flooded. It is a very small market. I would think you could get at least $400 for it.

Maybe more. It is the only all metal kit made.

Better yet do some side work if you need funds and keep it. Very Happy

Hope this helps. I'm by no means an expert but that is what I've seen.

Good Luck

Wow,

Yeah, I think I paid 450.00 for it back when Sid passed. Maybe I'll hang onto it till the market improves. Definitely just going to keep it if it's at a loss. Course, I suppose I could finish it out and sell it complete. I kinda thought someone may like doing one for themselves.

Thanks for the insight. I'll keep my eyes on eBay for sure.

Cheers

Is it the WorldCon or 2006 version?

Sidkits do keep their value , since no more are being made by him they are fetching reasonable prices , I would say $400 for an earlier model- if it's a 2006 to 2008 all metal version with all the die stamps then $500 , as its close to Rich's original LE kit . Assembled painted and finished then you're looking at about $1200 , hope that helps .

That is a big help. I was watching a few on eBay last night to see what they went for and fell asleep! Doh!

It's a WorldCon version. Thanks for the info guys.

Maybe I should go ahead and assemble it myself then and sell it. I'm just worried if I assemble it I won't want to!

Hahaha!

Cheers guys,
David

For the record, I was the one that bought that SidKit for $305. I thought it was a killer deal. It is not the worldcon version, though, and has the original magazine clip withouth the 5th light. Casting quality was top notch - I'll be sanding and priming this weekeng and bluing next week.

Also for the record, I intend to have Rich build me a workdcon version (though I am debating getting a Charter Bulldog to put in it) and have a Tomenosuke on order. I also just got my Hartford Airsoft - very nice but not accurate.

Now returning to your regularly scheduled program...sorry for the deviation;)

If you are bluing, you shouldn't need primer, correct? Confused

Some parts are painted not blued.
