Overtook their reading ability. Dropships in ST, how stupid!

Dale Dye is also in Saving Private Ryan, Band of Brothers plus loads more war films.

You know it's gonna be a good film if Dale is in it.

No probs J Smile

I watched some of it earlier.
Really cool to see some of the differences.

The ride of the Valkyries last 30 minutes on the Workprint, so i've heard.

Also, the scene with "Mr Clean" dancing to "I can't get no satisfaction" isn't the Rolling Stones version. Weird.
Seems to be the Otis Redding version.

Didn't know R Lee Ermey is in AN either. Not to proud of the fact though.

Apocalypse Now. I feel it was an embarrassment to Vietnam veterans.

Well, I finally saw the new Robin Hood film last night.
Really enjoyed it. Not been a huge Robin Hood, in general, fan may have helped me there.

Here are a couple of things I noticed.

Good stuff Neil...if I'm not mistaken, Fred had explored the same imagery used by Ridley in BR and RH (the pics you posted). Same type of arrangement: bed, drapes, candles and I'm sure smoke

Oops.
I knew Fred had posted about the Higgins boats in SPR but didn't realise about the others.
I should have looked first.

This next one is a little gruesome.

I could just be clutching at straws with this one.

I LOVE the comparison between Apocalypse Now and 2001 endings (2 of my personal top 3 films of all times)

No worries Fred Very Happy

It's just a shame that part 1 of the Apocalypse Now review is missing.
Would have loved to hear it as well.

I very recently realized that the atmospheric processor in ALIENS was Cameron's version of Giger's deleted egg silo in A L I E N… Both nests are stuffed with alien eggs waiting for their hosts !

Shocked

Allright, back to Blade Runner...

I found this painting in a book devoted to early XXth century russian painters... The artist is Nikolaï Iarochenko and the title of the painting "student".
I post it here because it made me think of a young version of Rachael, something that could have been hung on Tyrell's apartment walls. I mean, look at her, she looks like a teen version of Sean Young in a retro-futuristic student uniform !
The wall on the right is also very Blade Runner, same thing for the reflections on the ground and even the mood of the picture...

Something like a mix of Moebius and Mentor Huebner !

Fred
