I have a few ideas for the scaffolding and how it's going to look...stay tuned Wink

Joberg. It's Epic.

Really looking forward to seeing those rings come together.

Something's going to happen. Something wonderful!

Thanks Colin Yes, that scaffolding is really tricky (I'll have to heat the plastic beams for them to take the form of an enormous ring (remember it's 7 feet in circumference) If I just bend them it'll put too much pressure on the unfinished parts I just built. The detailing is crazy also; I'm off to the store to find corrugated sheets of plastic (I hope it exist Confused )

Great news: first, I found the corrugated plastic I was looking for (thank you Train dioarama people Very Happy ).

Second, the second "Under Construction" part is done.
Here are some pics showing the freshly painted part:

The same part but with the wash on top:

The other side with the wash:

And the top:

I'm attacking the next one (a little bigger than this one, but smaller than the first one... Very Happy )

Edit: seems that one pic didn't show, here it is:

Well, the 3rd installment is done and I'm affixing the "wings" on the side of each structure.

I have a few details to put on those wings and I'll attack the last one.
It's only build into a 1/4 (ceiling, one front wall, curves and bottom) the rest is just made out of scaffoldings Wink

This is a beauty shot; imagine being on the Orion, ready to dock inside the landing bay.

The scaffolding is being installed as we speak, much more to come of course.

Wow joberg, that's truly impressive.

Hope you have a lens wide enough!

Thanks Colin...I don't have a wide lens (I'll probably borrow a camera for my little movie when everything is ready).
Many more detailing to be applied (even on the beams themselves...those crazy U.K. modelers Laughing )
