I have just seen this prop on Ebay and I was very surprised about the
colour as I have always thought that the bridge seats were grey dominant.
(and that's the way I have painted them in my bridge model)
On some photos, they even appear as brown.
They appear green only on polaroid continuity shots but I have never believed that it was the real color... well, clearly I was wrong.
This can help as reference for modelbuilders.

in case the listing is off

TFS Isnochys79...difficult to see the colour if you don't have a grey scale right beside it. Confused

How often do you see leather looking that good after 36 or so years, even when it is well taken care of?
Does anyone recall seeing one of these headrest props in this color, or close to it?

These bucket seats were often made for custom cars in the 80s and maybe before. I have seen the full chairs in a lot of movies and I worked on a flight simulator in 1990 using these chairs. They cost a pretty penny too, but I can't recall the name of the manufacturer, except every one back then seemed to know the name. I think they were all black leather, but dirt, wear and lighting just is making gym look grey/green.

This color remembers me the one of the Gerry Anderson's Thunderbird 2.
Same variation depending the lighting.
