|

Hi folk's
I've had a bit of a disaster with my first PKD build and i was wondering if anyone could help me out.
t's a first issue Rick Ross doppleganger that i purchased on this forum.
Construction has been going like a dream, got it all wired up and was about to start final construction today. Unfortunately disaster has struck after realising that i've thrown away the adjustment knob. I had all the pieces carefuly wrapped in kitchen towel and it looks as if i threw it away thinking the piece of kitchen towel it was wrapped in was empty. Needless to say i'm pretty anoyed with myself and i know it's a long shot but i was wondering if anyone here happend to have a spare piece in a bits pile/graveyard somewhere? i'm more than willing to pay a good price for any replacement.
I'm going to get in touch with Rick to see if he can help me out but my hopes are not high.
Really want to try and sort something as as you can see from the pic below i've gotten so far and i don't want to have to call it a day just for the sake of one lost part.

Yes that would help wouldnt it. Here's the pic of the instruction sheet, I've circled the part that I mean.

I take it Rich that the Blaster side knob you have is the same one as the Rick Ross PKD model ?
The knobs you use on your Blasters are much smaller in scale to the PKD model kit's knob.
Cheers... |

IF So then he may not want one of mine...as all I have is mine...which was molded off a real speaker wire knob.

...Well, yours are smaller but they may actually look OK with the PKD-1 Blaster Kit.
It is smaller than the PKD's but maybe not that much smaller from memory.

There are two sizes of the binding posts, including one that is larger and in scale with the PKD-1. I have a ton of the larger ones.

Thanks for all the input on this, i'm just really happy at this point to have something to replace the missing piece that at least looks something like it should!
Having said that, Andy would you be willing to send me me one of your larger scale binding posts so i can pick whichever is best?
Thanks again for all the help, really want to get this sucker finished! |
