Good to see you back on this Fred.
Could the 'lid" be hair!
Or is the hole just badly cut giving it a ragged edge.
Looks different in every photograph.
I like the pen holder look.

It's all logical and everything Fred (the one with the hole in the head might be, as you said, serve as pen holder...why not).
As for the last B&W pic, I cannot tell if there's some kind of lid or something |

I think I'll go for a removable lid after all... Best option for now I guess... _________________ THE FUTURE IS A THING OF THE PAST |

AMAZING find, I've just ordered a ton of these - we're getting a new kitchen and the missus has agreed to make it as Nostromo'y as I can. So these will come in useful! |

Brownclaw, you're lucky that the missus is letting you do a kitchen into a Nostromo galley Did you talk to her about the seating arrangement ? |

Kitchen is WAY too small for seating lol. I've got the coffee maker, grinder, and we're decking it out in pure white with battleship grey floor lining. The containers arrived yesterday btw, they look fantastic. Now I just need to figure out what's being STORED in them in the mess. Any ideas? |

Since I couldn't decide how to complete the large green Hoptimist, I had to launch another (small) project A L I E N related, so I did this :
As you can see I was able to make a few of them ! (please don't PM me to see if they're for sale, they're already gone in the hands of some good friends I have here)

Done from scratch or with found stuff? |

Done from found stuff, JB.
The (heavily sanded) handle and canister came from 2 different sources... Spent some hours finding a canister with the right proportions and size. _________________ THE FUTURE IS A THING OF THE PAST |

Good results there Fred. I saw, years ago, a bottle of water that would've fit the bill; didn't buy it at the time and now, I don't see that bottle anymore oh well, c' est la vie. |

Awesome project Fred, if you have the time one day would love to see some pics of your entire collection in one thread. _________________ Formerly offworld66 |

Good find!
I had luck picking up some vintage ones, but this is a good option too. _________________ KEVDEO's SCI-FI Collection + Custom Props
