Thought some of you blaster addicts might enjoy this video.

Larry Vickers and Ken Hackathorn are prominent figures in the gun industry, and the shooting sports. From time to time the "guntubers" visit ISS.

Here are a few screen grabs.

And here is the link to the video.

Larry Vickers?

It’s like watching my wife and my mistress chatting over tea.

They have to be linked from an offsite image hosting site. Photobucket used to be the go to for that until they lost their collective minds.

I use:

Are there any screen caps of this blaster or BTS stills of it on set?

Apparently all of these photos are of 1 of the 3 Hero Blasters used during production :

Those on set pics have the Steyr markings on the left side - the ISS blaster doesn't have these engravings as they have been milled or sanded off.

I don’t think that is an accurate claim. I think the weathering to the Receiver and the lighting of the photo come into play with the markings looking absent. Why on Earth would they mill those markings off especially to a genuine Steyr SL Receiver, unless they were inaccurate to the original Hero’s stamping, which is a possibility!? Even still, it just oesn’t make any cents to me at all, probably just hear say.

There is no question in my mind that the markings on the left side of the Steyr have been removed. I've looked at the video carefully too and its clear that they are not there..

I would assume that the pics in the publicity photo's are either using the Tomenosuke and/or the rubber blaster that was cast because the markings can clearly be seen when Adam is with Doug looking at the props at Doug's facility..

Regards,
MARK

I appreciate your opinions and reply Mark and Steve. I just can’t believe that they or Denis V. would want or allow that to be done to a Hero Blaster prop!? It doesn’t even make any sents to have that done for any reason. Even if the stamping was inaccurate to the original, it’s hardly noticeable in the film and on screen. Why?

It could simply be a nights issue not wanting to have the company name so explicitly visible. They do this all the time to cars for example were they will back out only the emblem even though it is obviously a BMW or Porsche for example because they never secured the rights to the marque.

In LA for example you have to get rights to shoot the Beverly Hills crest/sign in a movie or they will sue. Not joking.

Now that is a very legitimate reason to remove the markings/stamping. I can’t imagine Steyr Arms seeing all this publicity as a bad thing, especially with the enormous Airsoft market and so on....I see your point though Steve. Thanks bud!
