I too suspected this at fist from this image, but I think it could be more an issue with the cap making the other look taller as well as perspective and angle differences.

If the bottle was a found item then I doubt there would be two versions with differences this suttle.

There's not enough distance on that table for the rear bottle to be that small in perspective, that's definitely two different sized bottles, but the same design.

I think the shorter bottle might be what we see in the police station scenes, while the taller bottle is what's seen in the apartment scenes.

Surprising no one's spotted this before in this photo.

We are shooting for the larger of the two as being the quintisential BR Whiskey Bottle. The two different sizes has been pointed out a number of times before.

Sorry...meant to say that it has been spotted before.
The bottle we are going for is the big one in the photo above...I like to call it "Deckards Bottle" and it will hold AT LEAST one large bottle of J.W. if I have anything to say about it!

From looking at that photo over and over again it seems to me it could be an optical illusion because of the cap. The cameras viewpoint and therefore the horizon line would be just under her shoulders, thus making the foreshortening pretty consistant.. I know this was talked about on another board at one time (theRPF?) and it does seem to be close enough to be just the difference in plastic over the orginal glass if at all.

Yeah I saw the other thread with the 3D models of the table and bottle, and I'm starting to agree that its perspective and the cap sticking up on the foreground bottle. Does make you wonder if they only had one cap for the bottle as the second bottle doesn't have one on it.

There are some questions from all of you concerning the project so I'll go ahead and try to answer them HERE as best I can when I receive them...While some may seem obvious, keep in mind that I have been asked them all at one point or another...

1) Will the finished bottle be shipped to me with booze in it?
NO.

2) What is the "Buy-In" amount?
Undetermined at this point but it will most likely be HALF of the total
cost for one bottle. This amount will be announced before any
"Buy-ins" are accepted.

3) How can I "Buy-In"?
Buy-In's will be taken when we have a bottle maker lined up, the mold
is created and they are ready to go into production. Most likely
the "Statement of interest" fields on the BR Bottle page at my web-site
will be replaced by a "Buy-In" field through which you can submit
money directly into a Pay-Pal account. There will also be an
option for submitting a "Buy-In" via snail-mail. All those that "Buy-In"
will see their name or Alias appear on a "REP-DETECT" list also at my
website.

4) Can I still get a bottle if I don't "buy-in"?
Chances are you CAN...but I wouldn't recommend it.
The bottles will be given to those that "Buy-In" at a greatly reduced
fee. When the bottle starts popping up on E-Bay and I have no doubt
that they will eventually, the seller will probably be asking for an
amount far greater than what we are asking as an initial "Buy-In"
up front. Keep in mind...the production run of the Bottle is going to be
relatively low even if the number produced is 200. This will add
GREATLY to their collectability.

5) Will the bottle have labels and a cap like those in the movie?
At this stage I'm saying YES. If this changes however, everyone will
be informed.

6) Can I "Buy-In" for more than one bottle?
Every "Buy-In" is for one bottle. Feel free to "Buy-In" as many times
as you like. When the initial quantity of "Buy-In's" matches the initial
quantity of bottles being produced, the "Buy-In" option will be closed.
Those that submitted "Statements of Interest" will be notified via e-
mail when the "Buy-In" option has opened.

7) How many bottles will be produced?
We are looking at a production run of somewhere between 50 and 200
units depending on interest. The number of Bottles to be produced will
be posted before "Buy-In's" are accepted so everyone will know it.

8 ) What happens after I "Buy-In"?
Everyone who "Buys-In" will see their name or alias (as dictated by
each person) appear on a list at my web-site. The list will be headed
by a figure that will need to be reached before production takes
place. As more people "Buy-In" the figure will eventually be reduced
to ZERO and Bottle Production will begin. Once I receive all the bottles
from the manufacturer, I will package and ship them AFTER the
second half of the "Buy-In" is received and confirmed.

9) Can I get a look at the Bottle BEFORE I "Buy-In"?
YES...but keep in mind that the longer you wait to "Buy-In" the better
the chance of the list filling up before you get your name on it.
The plan is to have the first bottle out of the mold sent to
me for inspection before production takes place. I will be posting
pictures of it here at PropSummit so everyone will know what they are
going to get but the "Buy-In" list will have already been opened.

10) What if I want my money back?
A full refund will be given to any and all that decide to "Opt-Out" after
seeing the pictures of the Bottle posted here.

11) Can I have the Name and Contact Information of everyone
involved with this project?

NO. For whatever reasons they may have, some people have asked
me not to share their involvement with this project. I have and will
continue to do my utmost to honor their privacy and wishes.

12) Can you tell me the name of the Bottle Manufacturer you have
chosen to create the BR Whiskey Bottle?

NO. For very practical reasons the Manufacturer will remain
unmentioned at least until the Bottles are in Production.
Please don’t ask me multiple times to give you this information as, at
this point, it hasn't even been decided on yet!

That's all that I can think of right now...feel free to PM me with any more questions that you may have and I will post them here.

I'm genuinely excited by the provisional mock up - superb stuff! This should be an awesome replica-prop and a great talking point.

Should have some new mock-up's soon!
HEY! Have all of you told TEN people to get signed up? Very Happy
We had one additional sign-up today bringing the total to 28.
I'd like to see at least 40 signed up...this will increase the odds of this Project actually happening!

There should be an up-date shortly after Christmas.

Did I mention we are now up to 33 Statements of Interest?
That's a bit closer to 50...which is what we are shooting for!
Keep em coming...we are close to going into production.

Everyone have a Merry One!

We are up to 41 Statements of Interest.
I feel very good about the project at this point as we are getting some very promising figures from various bottlers.
It is looking at this point that we will be able to charge LESS than $100.00 per unit (bottle), Buy-In will ofcourse be HALF of that final price.

Now I ask you...Is this gonna be sweet or what?

Everyone have a Great New-Years!!!
