I agree, the edges are too sharp too precise, they need to be more rounded , or bevelled . Unfortunately , you couldn't fill it as the alcohol reacts with the plastic and becomes toxic !! so display only , but still a very good attempt !

Looks nice, as mentioned by others edges may be a bit sharp. The neck of the bottle looks a bit fat maybe? Impressive work though, it would be nice to have a bottle available again.

a labor of love! nicely done NYzeki!!!

i think it looks so sharp because the thickness of the plastic compared to the glass is significant, hence the sharper lines. still - a fantastic and practical prop - especially with halloween around the corner. i wouldn't dare carry one of O.B.'s bottles around but would certainly carry this non-breakable bottle around to round out any good BR costume.

i do have a question regarding alcohol and degradation. with all of the uproar over plastics (BPA, etc,) i have to wonder about the statement about it not being useable in regards to alcohol. cheap booze has been sold in plastic bottles for decades and i checked online and read that PET is actually a favorable thermoplastic polymer as it is a better barrier to alcohol than other polymers. so which is it? i'm not saying i know, only that these are quite opposite positions and it would be useful to know if this is only good for iced tea or the real deal.

regardless of that side-bar, congratulations on a great job NYzeki!

As for plastic per se, one of the worst problems with plastic bottles, especially PET bottles, is that they allow oxygen to pass through. Air can spoil most wines, beers, and spirits. When ethanol is oxidized, it forms acetone (finger nail polish). Even in trace amounts this can highly ruin beer and wine. Not to mention all the other flavor ruining oxygen bad effects that come from air exposure.

True, I was also thinking about the idea of continual use. As it ages plastic breaks down, and you wind up ingesting it. Higher heat and freezing cold accelerate this. Plastic bottles don't wash well if you can't get a brush inside, and can harbor bacteria. I'd use it for display without a doubt, and maybe to carry around with some booze in, but not for long term storage of anything I intended to drink.

A plastic bottle, assuming we are talking about an inexpensive item, would be really cool for BR fans who can't afford a glass one or were not as insane as some of us were to spend what we did to get a hold of one.

Awesome work man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very Happy Very Happy

BTW I love my bottle but I still can't believe I spent what I did on a glass bottle. Not and Fertility Idol, not a Lightsaber, or a Helmet but a bottle. A Bottle. Wow. Love it soooo much but Wow.

Great job! I like the sharp lines...gives it that real square definition. From the pics the base doesn't look wide enough though? Can the same mould used to produce this not be used for a glass version?

Dont worry about what you paid jameth, we will never see a another glass version, the cost of italian glass, which is pretty much the only option to Chinese glass, is way to expensive. I recently tried to sell
either of my bottles for a high price without a win, imagine what i wont get in 10 years .

Im in for one NYzeki.

But it's not A bottle. It's THE bottle. From THE movie.

So that makes it perfectly logical. Cool

I'm in for one as well!

If it's as well made as the Medicom spinner conversion kit I'll be very happy.
