Sorry about dual emails there Once-bitten... you have two accounts, and I don't know if one is forwarded to the other, or if you only regularly checked one so I was sending to both. I'll just send to one from now on! 
Sounds like good news on both the label and cap fronts! And I think I already emailed you a source of inexpensive corks and cork tops in case the provider of the cap isn't incuding it. Thanks for keeping us in the loop!

He's such a modest fellow...
The printers actually commented that his artwork was more detailed and of better quality than the ACTUAL J.W. LABELS...
 I KNOW!
I can't wait to show them off...!

Yup, the WorldCon photos are what pointed me towards the RPF and Propsummit, where I lurked for at least a year*.
It's been a great ride so far in a hobby collecting items I really dig!

I thought I should post this here as well as in "News from around the hobby":
I should have some damaged bottles when they arrive. I'm expecting at least 10 as the bottler told me they are sending 10 for my inspection.
I'm told that the damage is slight and all near the base of the bottle.
I suppose I could see my way clear to number these separately from the others and offer them at a considerably LOWER price if anyone is interested... thanks for looking
I won't really know how bad the damage is until they arrive so...again, stay tuned on this one. |

Trying to get them out as soon as possible but am tying up loose ends.
Here's the "To Do" list:
1) I have to recieve the bottles first and that could be another month
away, I'm at the mercy of the bottler here like everyone else.
2) I DID just recieve final proofs on the labels but am not posting pics
of those until they go into production. Payment being sent shortly.
3) I believe I'm close to having a CAP vendor. Production on this
shouldn't take too long but it's still up in the air.
4) Sometime very soon I am going to put together all the ribbons and
seals. |

Please stop and consider for a moment the time frame we are talking about here...
Official start Date of this project: 11/10/2007
FIRST Up-Date sent: 11/18/2007
MOLD PAID FOR: 01/28/2008
Second Up-Date Sent: 02/06/2008
Third Up-Date Sent: 03/07/2008
Actual Pics of GLASS Bottles Recieved and Posted: 04/03/2008
Balance Payment Sent to Bottler: 04/11/2008
Bottles shipped to me: 04/20/2008
Stop and consider too that I personally requested that the bottlers take their time with the shipping so as to assure less breakage...they offered a faster means and I turned it down. I would hate for anyone to open a package looking to find their bottle only to discover their money's been refunded!
I hate waiting as much as the next guy...HELL, I hate waiting MORE than the next guy, but this thing needs to be done right so believe me when I say that I'm using all my will power to keep myself from renting a truck and going and picking the Bottles up myself!
ALSO: We are talking LESS than one year from start to completion of this project. In fact we are sitting at six months...I know of people who have sat on Project List's such as this for YEARS, I've been one of them!
SO...while we have ALL been waiting for the BR Whiskey Bottle to appear since 1982, you have to try to put those 25 years aside (good luck), focus on the last six months and realize that it's been a relatively SHORT wait period.
You have all been INCREDIBLY patient so far...the wait is almost over! |

I was only having a laugh with you Paul. 
I just couldn't understand what means the bottles were coming to you where, if they left the supplier on the 20th of this month, they would still take over a month to reach you?
I'm with you. A few weeks or even months is a small sacrifice to ensure it is perfect. |
