Still very much in - thanks for the update.

Will it be filled with amber liquid of some type?

Sorry Eagle...no amber liquid will be included...however...
I have had VERY good luck with obtaining 50 year old J.W.B. off of E-Bay!
I lastly obtained a 1 quart bottle of the 50 year old J.W.B. that I plan on pouring into my whiskey bottle when they arrive.

Why the 50 year old stuff you might ask? The labels are the same as those used in Blade-Runner.

How thick is the glass going to be? I'm hesitant to buy anything too fragile.

I have friends that tend to get very touchy-feely with any kind of alcohol-related bottles. I can just picture this:

"OOOPS!" (CRASH!) ....."I'm sorry. Was that expensive?"

A good question...
We have gone a little less than a 16th of an inch thick with the glass all the way round and the foot (base) is solid with a low slung cropped pyramid shaped indentation in the middle.
Hope that answers your question. There should be pics coming out soon.

Well, a little thinner than I was hoping. If I buy one it will have to be placed somewhere safe.

Thanks for the info!

After double checking my figures I was able to determine that the thickness of the bottle is an 8th of an inch thick, standard bottle thickness.
Exclamation OH, and CHECK THIS OUT Exclamation
The first pic of the
BR Whiskey Bottle Mold

It's very exciting to see that shape appear in

Not certain I mentioned it but the very bottom of the bottle (the Foot) will be solid glass as well making for a much stronger bottle all the way around.

Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Thank-you Guy's for your enthusiastic support! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
I'm so amped up after the mold pic arrived that I'm having trouble sleeping...to my knowledge production of the bottle begins TODAY and as I understand it, the run will take about four hours to be completed.

Hopefully I'll have more pics to post very soon!
