Nice, time to start flooding my local imax with requests. Beast, can you check to see what scale they are presenting it in, it cant be fullscreen (not shot on imax film), but a 70mm print would be jawdropping.

Just spoke to the IMAX and it's the standard digital 35mm version, IT is standard widescreen format and uses the central area of the imax screen, not sure what the point is really in showing it at the imax although the sound system is wicked. I saw the Final cut last month at the BFI Southbank with michael Deeley and the sound was quite poor. It has almost sold out though, there was only about 8 seats left for both showings.

They just emailed me back now:

The ratio of the film is Cinemascope which is 1: 2.35. This is a Digital Cinema Presentation as this film was not converted to any IMAX format. The image will fill about one third of the full IMAX screen. The IMAX screen is 26 meters wide and the Digital Cinemacope picture is about 22 meters wide.

do you know what the ticket prices are ridleyville?

Ticket price is £12.50 but there is only 1 seat left in the front for the 21:00 showing, but the front row is free and 5 seats scattered in the 18.15 showing

I know what you mean, we went to see the Dark Knight and we were half way back and still it was too close. Glad you managed to see the Final Cut on the big screen though.
