I'd say it's a "B", not a "8", mainly because of its left side : It's a straight line with no "deflated zone" (don't know how to name it properly) in the middle... Know what I mean ?

Using the available photo, I concur with the 'B' assessment. *shrugs*

Many many thanks Andy, Fred and Desi.

Fred, your version of the round patch was spot on, nice work.

yep Tim, I'm quite surprised myself... credit this to my graphic designer background !

The colours were not right, though... (Guys, I've sent this directly to Tim a few weeks ago to help him on his project, that's what he was refering to in his provious post)

Looks like I was wrong about this one...

It does not look like back painted acrylic, and could very likely be painted metal.

The collar pin might be one of the easiest to gauge the size of and we might be able to use it for reference to figure out the rest.

Andy.

Andy, the 2 black rectangular pins are plastic - almost possibly a plexiglass or acrylic type of material. Only the collar pin is metal.

Also, I assume you guys know there is some inside story about the P1K patches? The PK has to do with Philip K. Dick - but I don't know the whole story. Maybe it's just his first two initials as a tribute.

I had assumed and hoped that was true. That is also where Rick Ross got the name PKD for his versions of the gun. Extremely cool.

Thank you once again,
Andy

It also looks like it was made using a barrette similar to the ones my girlfriend looses all around the house !

(and I agree with Andy regarding the collar pin...)

Thats perfect Fred, all you need to do is paint it black and apply the correct font numbers and its done, start stashing those clips
Ive found an old roll of floor vinyl has come in very handy in many projects and could perhaps use this material to make the flat version.

Also, i know for sure that the guy cannot reproduce the same stitching
style that is on the PK , round patch and the border of the smaller,
rectangular patch, similar but not the same, is this unacceptable
to anyone? its good to know at this stage of the project

No problem at all regarding the different stitching on your set, Tim... I can really understand they won't 100% look like the screenused ones (hehe) !

If you need help prior to sending your order to the patch company, please let me know and I'll do my best to provide new layouts.

Fred

I understand the stitching won't match, I kind of expected that.

Spoke to him today Paul, they are finished, he is just waiting for them to
come back from the overlockers. Im not happy with him at the minute
for taking so long but i have to keep a lid on it till the cop patches are done.

Oh... Are you sure you really want to include this one in your set ? (pretty ugly, IMHO)

Shocked

I'll try to send you something as quickly as I can... Not really easy to do these days (baby girl takes currently a lot of time in my schedule) but I'll try !

Regarding the size-relation of the different patches and pins, I've tried to determine the size of the collar pins... To do so, I've compared one of its sides to the piece of sinisalo armor seen in the photo below, then I've measured this space on one of the Sinisalo armor parts I own...

Then I've roughly printed the screenused pics to the estimated right size and taken a few ref pics, just to see if they would match the screenused ones (my shirt collar is shorter than the original one I think).

So what do you think guys ? My printed pins are 27mm X 33mm (or 2,7cm X 3,3cm if you prefer)
If you think those look OK, then we'll be able to use them as reference to determine the size of the other pins and patches on the photo of the whole set Desi sent us !
