An alternative display of the blade runner blaster.
A 7cm deep massive oak frame.
What do you think?

Looks great,
I plan to build a shadow box specifically for mine.
I used to be able to purchase them with a opening glass door but they are hard to find these days.. _________________ -Del |

Very nice setup!
I did a shadowbox for my Coyle and Snubby but it's not as fancy as yours.

I love the reproduction of the Worldcon name tag to go along with it. Looks very classy and suitable for a museum display.

Shadowboxes are pretty easy to build if you have a table and compound miter saw.
I built this shadowbox for my Katana swords. If you use sturdy wood backing, you can add plugs and such to hold the blaster. _________________ -Del |

Looks fantastic! I would have gone this route if I had any wall space to hang it on -- but my "toy" room had wood laminate on top of concrete, so anything I display has to go on shelving unit. _________________ teckel@bellsouth.net |

Mine, or Rudolf's? |
Both. Both are beautifully done. I see what looks like brass pegs under yours, but are the guns inset, etc.?
On Rudolf's, I can't see any obvious attachment devices, and his looks inset. |

I must say i am very impressed with how you have the image of Deckard and the blaster displayed with the copy of the WC description paper. VERY NICE!
Where did you find that nice image of Deckard? How clear is it? Is it on photo paper?
Thanks! |

Thanks, Rudolf!
Eltee, on mine the guns are supported by clear acrylic rods. The coloring of the backdrop makes them look like brass I guess.
I cut some short sections of acrylic rod and drilled holes into one end to accept some very small machine screws. They're screwed in from behind the shadowbox.
The backdrop is just a sheet of matte paper. I chose that brown because it's kind of similar to Deckard's trenchcoat. _________________ I find your lack of faith disturbing. . . |

Hello and thanks for the link. I did not see one there for sale, OR was the one you bought the only one? I was under the impression it was something they produced in some sort of quantity?
Please advise!
Thanks! |
