Not sure if anyone noted this, but the hero blaster is going on the auction block in a few weeks, estimated at $100,000-$150,000.00, along with several other items.

Admins please remove this post if this is against posting policy, I didn't see any restrictions for posting.

I don't think it's against the rules.

Is there a bigger scan of this page somewhere?

This is exactly the kind of thing we LIKE to discuss here.

When I heard the rumor that this was going on sale soon, I was very excited about it.

Sure do wish I had an inheritance or something coming though.

Maybe I can slip and fall at the grocery store . . .

There was mention of it on the Tomenosuke Blog a while back. They said he was in talks with a few people including Paul Allen, and they said it would be going up for auction at PIH too.

Soon after that much of Jeff's stuff showed up at Screenused.com where some of it still is up for sale. I tried contacting Jeff last year and never got a response. I have a feeling I didn't disguise my fanboyness too well Smile. Either that or the person who gave me the email address didn't give ma a real one. Rolling Eyes I was hoping I could get some inside information about the gun's history, for my project.

I do hope where ever it goes it doesn't go into hiding for another 20+ years, and possibly even goes to the Sci Fi Museum in Seattle. I have a feeling though the owner won't be letting people handle it and take close up Photos of it ever again Sad

Thank you for posting this Bryan.

Andy

But Maybe somebody had a chance to handle it before it went to auction, and took even better pics and measurements Wink

It might take several of us to form a consortium of kidney donors to get this baby!

I remember when Sid was talking about us buying the gun as a group Very Happy

the spinner sold for $63,250. The picture is no longer up at PIH though. Supposedly Paul Allen already offered $300,000 for it, But that is probably just a rumour.

I never thought to flip the ON/OFF switch! Shocked

The listing says FOUR red LEDs and the two GREEN ones, light up when you flick the switch!

Auction catalog listings have been known to be incorrect though. Still it would be funny if ALL The LEDs were powered by that one switch. The two red ones in the picture seem to be lit.

However what I would want to know is, what happend to RED 5? Shocked

How many body parts and/or organs would I have to sell to get $150,000?

Thanks mic, but that isnt the one i was talking about, that spinner was built from scratch not that long ago. The one that went at auction was
an actual screen used one I beleive and later did a test flight off the back of a transport truck. Sad
