Hey guys you will love this, I just got these pictures in last night of Sci-Fi Author and illustrator Prentis Rollins' Nostromo build..It is fabulous. He worked 6 months on this, and the results are stunning, and the detail is OFF THE HOOK!!!
He put so much into this ship, and this really brings a feeling of satisfaction seeing these models being built.... This makes the 4th one out of 12 finished so far...Fantastic Job Prentis if you are seeing this!

Pretty incredible huh???

You should see this guys books and artwork, I was mailed two autographed books he did..and his attention to detail in is artwork reflects his efforts in this Nostromo he built. He even did the shuttle bays exactly like Grahams blueprints...... a 5 star model Nostromo!

I have been working on my second Nostromo build this one for a propsummit member, adding more hull detailing to make it more accurate...... back to the ol' Nostromo construction!

Well, my philosophy is if yer gonna do it, go all the way.

So here I have intensified the detailing by a factor of 4, using paper thin pieces of polystyrene sheets,, creating interlocking panels... this really should make the model look big... I cannot wait to do the engine nacelles, I will go right off of Grahams blueprints with all of the tiny panels and then the larger plates... can never do enough detailing...

sorry about the washy colors... I used a flash and yes there are multiple colors of primer as I do layer on layer....

Thank you very much guys...

I am really getting back into the Nostromo building after the 5 month detour on the derelict production. Tonight is more of the super thin panels between 2mm and 10 mm starting down the sides of the hull... this is quite therapeutic actually ha ha!!!

Here is more progress today, I finally have the look of how this Nostromo will be...all the interlocked plating on the sides of the hull and the engine Nacelles will follow this same similar pattern.... this one will be insane
