Awesome work, an i fully understand needing to STEP AWAY from something to regain focus... nice to see others into building and designing this film in such a big scale. I scaled out his apartment and it is 11' long at 1/6 scale. From front door to the end of the visible balcony.

Hey guys, any updates?
I'd read that first page a few times, but didn't see the rest of those phenomenal pictures. It looks amazing!
Would love to see how it turns out, would look very cool.

I needed a break from the APARTMENT drawings so i did a schematic of the vidphone booth in 1/6 scale... look at the ANIMATION SET DESIGN album. I used YOUR models and assorted ref pics... hope to see an update from you soon, but i KNOW firsthand these huge dioramas weigh on the pocket book.

As one who was the "King of Diorama" once, I can assure you that if not for the hit in the pocket book, the other hit is of time and sometime years of perfecting your diorama. To achieve a "real" look and trick people into believing that what they're seeing is just a smaller scale is the ultimate challenge/pleasure one can have

ABSOLUTELY... but so very worth it. Luckily, my lady is an artist as well. She enjoys watching me produce things. Unluckily, she happens to be VERY DISTRACTINGLY goodlooking, so bare with me ladies and gentlemen Twisted Evil

Great work, I look at mine every day almost but havent progressed much,
but the final burst of inspiration will come eventually, other distracting projects dont help either.

This project is too cool.

I can re-create these. PM your email address to me and I'll send them asap!

If someone has the capability of putting these letters and kenji into some form that i can have printed out on small strips of paper around an inch high,
it would be a tremendous help.
