Couple of quick questions.

Is there a screw that should be going in this hole: http://s922.photobucket.com/albums/ad67/racprops/Propsummit%20SE%20Blade%20Runner%20kit%20instructions/Grips/?action=view&current=045.jpg

Also, are there any pictures of putting the various assemblies together? Like attaching the ammo housing to the barrel and frame, and attaching the lever-side covering.

Thanks!

That hole is on/in the real 44 or 38 hand gun handel. Both guns use the same handle frame. Nothing goes in it on the real one either?

The hole is for a pin on a real bulldog to help hold the grips, it is not used on the prop for anything, but as it can be made out I of course included it as I did the big hole in the outer grip frame and there is suppost to be a smaller hole in the subframe as well, all unused...

If you really look close at the real grips it looks like they did drill holes for the use of a pin and perhaps found out like I did , the real pin was not wide enough to reach the new grips. Seems they did not make a longer pin and just left the hole in the frame and the holes in the grips.

I will have to take some more pictures...

Are we talking about the same hole? The one drilled with the #43 in this pic? http://s922.photobucket.com/albums/ad67/racprops/Propsummit%20SE%20Blade%20Runner%20kit%20instructions/Grips/?action=view&current=045.jpg

Ok I think I understand the question better.

I thought you were asking about the hole in the sub frame or inner bulldog frame that is faceing us in the picture.

I now think you're asking about the hole in the outer frame after you have drilled it with the #43 Drill, I do both frames at the same time with the other two screws already drilled and tapped and both in place and tighten some, then I drill both frames with the #43 and once taken part again I then drill out the hole in the outer frame with a #30 and counter sink with a #12.

This then allows you to tighten the screw pulling the two frames tighter together and thus make them more sucured.

I reloaded the pisture with more detail.

The grip holding holes in the outer frame are both #43, then taped with the 4/40.

Remember get taping oil for the deep holes and go in say about couple of turns and then back up a turn and then go in a couple more turns and back up one or two turns and then back all the way out and clean the tap.

The chips can jam your tap and then break it off inside...
So go slow and remove it often and clean it and oil it will get the job done.

It the efford to turn the tap get aeven a little harder, remove it adn clean it and oil it..

No the front one is a dummy as it was on the real prop.

I have cut it so if you misstakenly pull it, it should not cause damage.

Rich,
The guy who bought Paul's last uncracked bottle has a blaster of yours. He posted pics of it with the bottle over on RPF.

How does this current model compare to that one??????

I'm sure Rich will reply, but I do know he's fairly busy right now, so to answer your question , Rich has almost completely reworked the gun since his last release , all the little wrinkles and features discovered since the last main release have been incorporated into the Propsummit release making it the most definitive release to date , Rich took the oportunity in producing the Propsummit Limited Edition to completely re-work all the molds and to rectify all the things he's wanted to but didn't have time to do before , It now matches the hero closer that ever before and if I know the work that some of the guys can produced here ,it'll be completely indistinguishable from the real hero prop. I've just finished a Sidkit build (No:38 ) which was an early 2006 model and I've worked about 6 weeks on it to 'Worldconise' it , but comparing the two is like 'chalk and cheese ' the Sidkit is good , but the Propsummit is better and yes I know I have a vested interest, being Rich's UK importer ,but I'm saying this as a 30 year veteran model prop builder and restorer .

What he said....

If you reread this thread: I have posted pictures and offered details of all the changes and improvements in many posts.

Between all of your support, and the latest pictures of the Blaster at the last auction, I was inspirded to make all these corrections.

Of course all models will be of the new version, propsummit just got them FIRST.

I have added the words (?) 2010 V to the new plaque for this new model.

And I will work with people whom got the older version to upgrade them.

Rich

I am not sure, I have only let a couple of good friends get unfinished models and a couple have refinished a finished model I sold them.

So I would ask him.
