Have there been any technical specs of the blaster published anywhere? Even fan work?
I want to include some information in my Repdetect file but don't want to conflict with anything already established.
Any help is appreciated |

I've turned over lots of ideas on this over the years.I have pretty much settled on this concept:The blaster is two seperate ammunition supplies with their own triggers feeding a common barrel.Originally developed to give police a lethal and less lethal option depending on which trigger they pulled(the regular police would still use it in this manner).Blade Runners adopted it do to it's ability to fire special ammo types against durable androids(high explosive shells, mini -emp)and because it was reliable and available.Someone coined the term "Duplex Police Pistol" which describes my idea perfectly. |

"Special"rounds would be housed in the five round electrically driven rotary magazine under the barrel with five conventional hollow point or other ammunition types in a revolving cylinder in the side frame.A revolver action chosen for it's absolute reliability. The two types are not interchangeable, specials would include Taser,rubber/plastic full size or shot,EMP,high explosive(last two for military or Blade runner applications only).Ammunition would be caseless in both cases ,the special magazine being loaded through a loading gate exposed by working the bolt(which would also be worked to clear a misfire or malfunction). The revolver loaded conventional via swing out cylinder. Both magazines could carry .410 shotshell as well(albeit not interchangeable between the two magazines as the special rounds are electrically primed while the revolver uses a conventional hammer). |
