that is superb...there is so much talent on the thing ,its very hard to see why you all haven't been hired by studios ( that may take the fun out of it ...like writing music while someone holds on to your groceries)

I am currently saving for that snub!

Andy,

Did you build that yourself?

That is the "look" that I am going for with the kit I just ordered, I really like the look of the "metal". Any tricks you'd like to share?

TIA,
Steve

Just so you know...

If the PKD bug ever inspires you to make this version again:

I will buy it immediately. ^THIS^ model is my very favorite out of all your PKD incarnations.

P.S. I don't remember where the pic came from, if the owner wants it removed, let me know.

Rick built that one up. It is his pic. So you will have to ask him.

Well, what no one told you about that 1/6th size is that it fires teeny tiny blanks.

It's interesting to me that even the 1/6th version (which has amazing detail) has variants!!!!

Mind you there are about 100 different heads for the doll too.

I think most of the "other" heads are custom pieces. Some of the other variations probably occur because when they make a mold for these heads they don't just make a mold for one head at a time. They often use a master that they make a multi up off of. So they can mold like ten heads at a time (usually less though). Often each copy will vary a bit. since the head and gun are smaller than the rest of the body parts and in different materials than the body, the heads and gun would have been made seperately. The body was probably injection molded and the head roto molded in vinyl to make it hollow. The guns also likely would have been made with more than one at a time. I know Star Wars figure collectors that have gone insane over minute variations....and this is how another thread is derailed
