Damn! Those are incredible joberg! Shocked

Now just get them a little wet and stick them in your freezer for a few hours to get an authentic iced-over look!

Well done mate... but are you sure the color matches the screenused ones ? (at least, if your intention was to replicate Chew's... Don't have time to check my archives as I write this post, must admit)

That was my thought as well.

Awesome interpretation as always J! Love it, love it, love it.

I've been waiting for someone to attempt these for some time Smile

I kept searching for that colour (as you know, the lighting in this scene is a blue/whitish hue). Was it yellow and if so what kind? Plus the fact that the pair of glasses was also transformed with the white of the cold and for the used look I opted for a silver/used type of finish wich could reflect any type of lighting. Thanks for watching and thank you for the great feedback.

Joberg, people are sooo picky! a cracking pair of specs !!! I recognised at least three sets of lenses I currently use in building my blasters ! - never gave it a thought to build them as an all-in-one - little realising if I did , I accendentally tumble on how they made Chew's for the film - I know that's a bit tongue firmly in cheek - but they are really fantastic for a first go -- my very best regards !!

Thanks Propjohnnyb...as you know, I'm the king of recycling products, so for a behind the scene of that pair of glasses here's the list:
1) the left "lamp" at the end of that crooked pole: a modified Brita filter fitted with the cap of a 35mm film canister.
2) right lense is made of 4 parts: first a lamp socket + the bottom of a plastic container that you'll find in any hair colouring product + the wheel of a tape cassette and finally the base from an old printer.
3) the rest are pieces of an old type-rider and a portable computer.
4) the glasses are an old pair of "Ray-Ban" made in China

***LOVE*** your interpretation!!!

Compare to the hero:

Are those the eyes of a man who knows he's about to die, or WHAT?

If we could only ID some of the greeblies and original frame, I'd give it a go...

Thanks bawde wana...difficult to ID some of the greeblies on that pair of glass...just to ID the glasses is a challenge Wink I think they used a combo of portable slide-viewer finder (left gizmo hanging on that crooked pole) and camera equipment.

WOW JB, It looks really great in yellow !!!

Are you going to make a hood to go with it, it could make a great display piece on a mannequin head !

Cool
