A piece I always thought was a cool design was the coat rack That Zhora puts her snake on. It can also be seen in Leon's apartment. It is a Gian Carlo Piretti “Planta” coat rack made by Castelli in Italy in 1972. Here is the only one I could find so far...

well another BR fan from Italy posted even more info about it at BladeZone. He knows the designer personally and pointed out there is a better picture of it on page 154 of Future Noir. It is funny how the universe reveals things at the same time to people nowhere near eachother, Just as it did for the clear amber grips for Rick Ross and Rich Coyle. Syncronicity. I doubt he is a spy trying to take credit for it, he knows way too much about it. I just hope he has a line on getting some, because I would be into buying one.

She still not know the rack is at home... But, when she sees it, I'll explain her its the perfect place to put my lightning umbrellas (one for now), the Bryant and Gaff's hats (still in develoipment... where? I don't know!), the Deckard's trench and so on....

Well, this piece was a "bargain". Only 180€ when I've seen it marked at 600€, 450€.... This was found in a second hand site, out of ebay auctions and speculation around Blade Runner....

From time to time, a light appears in the dark...

Truly awsome catch. I had a thing for this coat rack for a long time and that is why I searched so hard for it. I had found very few in the US and the prices were through the roof everywhere already. I am very jealous. Smile

BTW I do have some pics of vintage hats that are similar to Gaff that I own now. Including one I purchased new.

Keep it up Joan, You will make us all long to match your collection. Very Happy

Thanks Andy! In fact, I have almost no room at home to make it grow.... Mackintosh Willow chair or Argyle one are very big items.... (oh, NAD VERY EXPENSIVE TOO!!!)

And... the Deckard's piano... I'm trying to know brand name (and model??), but I cannot see it in the Final Cut snaps I take... Too dark (or perhaps the brand was removed or washed out).

Surprisingly I think the best room in the inside locations at movie are the doll's one in Sebastian's. They are plenty of things there! And nobody has a clue about them....

The coat rack is a huge item (circa 2 mts tall). These hats you talk will look nice hanging from it!

How heavy is the Planta, Joan?

I've found 3 at very reasonable prices in the last 6 months but when I inquired about shipping I was always told

You must come to Holland/Germany/France to collect! Sad
