For the low-low price of $3,499 you can own an emblem from one of the full sized spinners.

Wow, I am not 100% convinced that is a real one. The ones in the movie were chromed (at least it seemed like they were) and so were the ones they gave to cast and crew. It is possible the chrome all came off. If it was from the one at the Disney MGM lot in Florida (they are all missing off if it), It could have been outside for that long. Or even the one in Japan. It looks suspiciously like the ones made by Blad though.

I got THIS casting from Matt Munson a few years ago.

I don't remember Matt mentioning it was cast off a screen used piece, and it looks damn near exact to what's above.

Here's one I painted up. May be able to get some chrome plated.

Actually I believe Blad's dimensions are a bit different if I remember.

I can't see any measurements? Just the case size.

Mine is 140mm x 95mm

I'm really not sure about it, my instant reaction was that it can't be one of mine. But I keep seeing little details that make me a bit suspicious.

The weathering has effectively destroyed most of the marks on my sculpt that would have nailed it.

To my knowledge, the spinner plaque were NOT chrome plated, but covered in bare-metal metal foil, a auto-adhesive metal foil used in car modelling to reproduce chrome.

MY two cents Smile

I am going by the information from the Profiles in History auction about the Spinner logo that was sold there. I agree looking at the movie versions it is dificult to say they were chromed. The metal tape sounds plausible, but chroming equiptment is standard for movie prop makers as well.

I was the buyer of the Profiles in History spinner badge, apparently there were only four made out of a rubber so they would fit the contour of the body panel. The one i have and the one at screenused are of the same chrome painted finish and do not look like there was ever any other finish applied. If it is of any interest i can send a picture but it looks the same as the screenused one except the cracking up of the finish is different.

Ridleyville, that is fantastic! Would you be willing to post any pics here? If not, I completely understand.

Also, welcome to Propsummit

Hi Ridleyville, your image tags didnt go on right.

When you do an image, it is easiest to copy the link, paste it into the message, then highlight it, then click the Img button above. That will insert the img tags properly. If you already know this, please ignore me

Welcome and congrats on acquisition of a very nice piece of Blade Runner memoribilia.

Blah, blah... we all are insanely jealous and just won't come out and say it! Laughing

I am less jealous when people share...at least the pictures anyway. I personally am afraid of the Psychological impact of something screen used. My stuff owns me as much as I own it, as is. Maybe someday I will feel worthy of something like that as well as be willing to accept the responsibility.
