I got to working up a concept for a shotgun used by the LAPD in 2019 while maintaining the aesthetics of the pistol's design. I see it as loading like a conventional shotgun, with the shells being loaded into a port forward of the trigger guard. The steyr style magazine serves as the pump action grip with the LED indicating ammunition being present in the magazine. The cocking lever is retained so that special ammunition can be loaded directly into the breech overriding the pump action loading. Comments, critique, and feedback welcome.

enjoy

I like what you got going there. The second trigger would be a traditional set trigger then? Personally, if I were hunting replicants with this I would use different ammo I'm thinking slugs, dragons breath, or maybe a bolo round. I'd love to see this built up. Great work!

Good stuff there! Maybe a hollow butt or metal folding? Makes it lighter and less cumbersome... Wink

Realistically, it should probably have a tactical or composite stock, but then you wouldn't be able to saw off the back of the stock for a classic room-broom. Wink

As to the second trigger? either traditional set trigger (though why you'd have one on a shotty I have no idea) or its used to fire the breech loaded specialty round. I remember that being a theory on the pistol's second trigger.

I was JUST toying with the idea of making a variant of an existing, famous movie weapon, and boom! I stumble upon this thread!

I prefer the sawn-off version, so I may just give that a go, right after I'm done with two other WIP weapon builds Wink

Of course, only with your permission, Fabio Very Happy

Thanks. But don't expect too much as I'm no Richard Coyle. I'll only be attempting a static display piece made out of PVC pipe, MDF board, and maybe some sheet aluminum

It'll be a few months before I'll be done with it. Will post some WIP pics when I have them.

Meanwhile Fabian, if you have some drawings of the details, it'd help greatly.

Unfortunately I didn't really do any detail drawings of the parts. I pretty much stuck to the basic shapes of the blaster and and its major parts. If you need any details on a particuar section let me know and I'll work up a quick render.

You'd be amazed what can be done with just some PVC pipe, MDF and sheet aluminum. You could probably get a hold of one of those airsoft shottys with a sawn off stock, that'd save you a lot of time on some parts of the build.

And that will be available for purchase at your local gun store when you said?

Is it a pump-style reload?

It's Italian, you can go pump, or auto. Wink

Lol nah, I just figured it would be wood. Although that would show off some cool skeletonized elements of the stock frame.

Take a look at the UTG m324 airsoft rifle. Its upper receiver is almost a dead match the to Styer but larger and with a 1913 rail on top .Personally i think it would be a perfect base for a custom BR shotgun.
