Yep, not easy to make miniature clothing (it seems that the material used in the first few pics is very difficult to work with) If you Google you'll see that quite a few companies are making 1/6 clothes (Japan and China specially). Wink

A pity. Are you aware of any patterns for sewing the Rachael suit? It is so hard to get 1/6 scale cloths for Blade Runner customs. Having a few patterns might help.

ALICE, i have YET to locate any patterns of RACHAELS dress... even going so far as to ask a member here that made FULL SIZE version, but mysteriously doesnt have a pattern (at least not one she is willing to share). I created a vast folder of ref pics for the seamstress, but i didnt like the outcome. i am a stickler for some level of realness.

Thank you and thank you! Can you imagine how bad I'd like to add a few photos of Deckard, Rachael, Betty, and the rest of the gang! Haven't found the right 12" figures, respectively couldn't get my had on them yet!

Why doesn't that surprise me! It is soooo hard getting the right information on these, sigh! Anyway, thanks for the answer, I'll continue to keep my eyes open!

I don't know if this link has been posted here on the board before - probably has - but this guy could help? I never contacted him though:

Welcome to Propsummit Alice. I see you found one of the links I was going to show you. Have you asked over at the sideshow forums about the patterns? They have some great makers over there, and am sorry I missed out on that accurate set of Deckard's costume myself. I haven't checked there in a while, but some of them may be willing to share some of their patterns.

I do think it might be very fun to make a set of 1:6 scale props here at some point. I have only seen some one-ups, and very limited runs of Japanese replicas. With Ben working on his film, and the tiles being made to scale, this is something I would love for those of us collecting the 1:6 stuff. For one it takes up much less room, and should in theory be a little cheaper than the full scale stuff Wink, but mostly because it just doesn't seem to be done all that much.

Andy is right: less room but as far as making these costumes, props etc at that scale is still a lot of work. My favourite scale is 1\ 3 it's easy on my old eyes

Thank you for the welcome Andy! In fact, being a BR fan for as long as I can think, I don't understand why it took me so long to find this place...!

I've asked over at the SideshowFreaks board, but no answer yet. I guess for a shirt any old shirt pattern would do, right? If I had plenty of shirts, I could use one as a basis, take it apart and all, but as it is, I have only 2 shirts in my collection, and, those are needed!

perhaps we can put together a sixthscale cottage industry intersted in making reasonably priced miniatures... we seem to like them. i would be very interested in clothing in that scale. Very Happy

Looks pretty good Bendzhamin! I sure hope you are actually executing the idea! Love to see the final outcome, really (just like a bunch of other people I imagine!!)

I was finally able to buy a Deckard and a Batty 12". Should arrive by the end of this week. Keep an eye on my Facebook site (link in signature) for photo's!! Oh, and while you are there, please hit the 'like' button Smile .

A member over at the Sideshow freaks board is doing a new 1/6 scale Deckard project. I'm posting the link here, for all that might be interested.

His site:

http://spettersenart.blogspot.com/

You'll find his email under 'view complete profile'.
Go check it out!
