Saw it this morning and its still haunting me. A totally magnificent experience. So much to think about. Do not miss this movie on the big screen.

I have to own up and say that I was especially cynical about this sequel and I had no faith that it/they would deliver.

Its magnificent

Well, so far this movie is batting a hundred. Haven't seen harsh critics about it.
Thanks Tim and Mark for the feed back.

Of all people that I hoped would have that reaction you are at the top of the list, Mark. So happy to hear you say it. Seeing it tonight!

Saw it in IMAX (2D), as well. I was blown away. Still unpacking it.

Saw it last night, and am still processing it. Very powerful film. After the film I walked out of the theater in a trance. I plan on seeing it again soon. My only issues so far (without spoilers), are that it lacked the retro feel of the original in any way. It was very modern, sleek, and commercial in styling, which is what I had expected from the previews. Would like to have seen some more retro-ness, and more chaos in the gritty parts. It felt to me that it was Blade Runner filtered through many of the Anime imitations in over all look. Still, it was very impressive, and visually and emotionally powerful. Fine story too, albeit with some plot holes I need to watch the film again to reinspect. It felt like high science fiction and is making me hungry for more.

Loved it. The whole spectacle is still sinking in. A masterpiece.

I sent a PM to Tom Southwell yesterday and he responded by saying that he has avoided all of the trailer/discussion about the movie as to not spoil his experience.

He'll see it tonight at The Academy in L.A., followed by a discussion panel with the director, set designer, Ford and Gosling also.

He has also given a big hello to the Propsummit gang and will get back to me with his critique.

Stay tuned

I must agree with DVD Connoisseur. Loved it!

AMAZING! Although (appropriately) violent and aimed at the adult viewer, I strongly recommend it.

Like so many, when it was first announced I had to ask "Why?" It was a stand alone masterpiece.

After the disappointments of "Prometheus" and "Covenant"and Ridley's early revelation of the opening scene ("cabin, boiling pot on a stove . . .") lifted directly from early drafts of the original "BR", I felt it might become yet another missed opportunity . . or even a semi-reboot.

I know he was heavily involved and am glad of that, but with Denis Villeneuve as director, my hope was restored, and rightly so. It is an inspired masterwork and a valid successor. I know now why Harrison loved the script and it is one of his best performances, supported by many others.

But now, as more sequels are rumored, I fear the threat remains. I doubt Villeneuve would return, with "DUNE" stated to be his next big project . . .

It's an amazing experience. I too have to admit that I was VERY skeptical about this movie. Not anymore.

There was one plot thread that I could have done without, as well as a certain cameo (I'm probably in the minority here), but there was so much to chew on and think about... can't wait to see it again, honestly. So much to love! The baseline test, the "memory organ" concertina looking thing, the themes of "what is human" expanded to AI as well as replicants. Awesome stuff.

I really enjoyed this film. I look forward to owning the BluRay one day, so I can study in detail.

I was extremely skeptical until Scott's first tie-in (the one with Benedict Wong and Jared Leto) hit. That sold me on Leto, and made me hopeful.

I was not prepared for how emotional and rivetting this film would be. Days later I am still thinking about it amd mulling it over.

Just saw it on IMAX and it's still too much to digest! Many questions unanswered, many props, costumes, etc...The whole visual experience, as well as the music makes this movie one of the Sci-Fi classics!

That's right, classic! As Tom Southwell wrote me: "Ridley Scott can look and see the "child" his own Blade Runner had in "some ways" germinated".

This is a stand alone movie that deserve many Oscars!
