Agreed.
I've got nothing but good things to say about him in regards to every single ordering experience I've had with him... Great guy who works hard to give you what you want.
Looking forward to seeing the results, V. _________________ Memories... You're talking about memories... |

Hey victor-d,
I actually went to the bar thinking it was already open for business and ready to snap a few photos as long as the owner was okay with it... but when I got there the Staff informed me that the place hadn't actually opened their doors yet for the evening.
Nonetheless I was on a tight schedule and asked the owner if he'd mind me using the place as my own Blade Runner backdrop for those photos... Dude knew the movie and was very cool about the whole thing while my wife and I wandered around the place snapping shots.
Glad you liked 'em!
And like I said before, I'm looking forward to seeing your results... Good Luck! _________________ Memories... You're talking about memories... |

Hey Mitch,
is that a Magnoli trench coat you have there?
I've also had a couple of items from him for my LC gear, superb service and great results would recommend him to anyone.
Have joined this forum as I'm starting my collection of BR gear now.
Cheers buddy,
prodigalson.

Hey, JTW... Great to see you HERE
While my Deckard Shirt, Tie & Blazer are all from Magnoli, the Trench is not, actually... It's an Abbyshot V.2
VERY cool to see you taking an interest in the BR Gear... Your great eye for details should lead to some wonderful acquisitions for you.
All the Best,
Mitch _________________ Memories... You're talking about memories... |

Thanks for the greeting mate,
your trench looks a great colour, what were your reasons for choosing this over others?
Cheers,
prodigal. |

Well, first of all I ordered my Abbyshot AFTER they'd already taken one run at it (with their Version 1) and by the time I was ready to order they'd made significant improvements over their original - especially with the material they used... In my opinion their Version 1 Coat had a far less "ideal" material for a Deckard Trench Coat in that it was some sort of "ideal, space-age fabric" that apparently made water bead up and roll right off of it rather than soaking it...
It was a lovely thing to behold, I'm sure... but TOO perfect for a Deckard Trench, in my opinion (if you know what I mean)
There were some other people who were making their own version of this coat as well, but frankly, I just plain liked what I was seeing in this coat much more than what I was seeing elsewhere (and yeah, as you noted, I was definitely LIKING the color!)
The other coats I was seeing seemed too sturdy, too brown, TOO thick, etc...
(I should also add that I bought my Abbyshot before Magnoli first began offering his own version, so these comments are not reflective of his trench coat as I obviously had no opinion about it at the time I was shopping for one)
I know some people have an issue with the collar on the Abbyshot -that it's not a thick enough (or not the correct) material- or, more specifically that it's made from the same material as the rest of the coat... but hey, to each their own...
It works for me.
Cheers,

Thank you for this most valuable information Mitch. Just out of curiosity have you met anyone who owns a Magnoli trench?
Cheers,

I haven't, no... Too bad, too, because I'd love to see one.
...
It just occurred to me: I think we've now officially lost track of the fact that we've HIGHJACKED "995"victor-d's Thread quite thoroughly...
(Sorry about that, Vito!)
Feel free to send me a PM if you'd like to continue the conversation, though... _________________ Memories... You're talking about memories... |

Victor,
I've just noticed in the movie, that the grey fleck pants have belt loops of about 1" in length. Would you agree? You've probably already gauged this so ignore me if so.

Mitch Magnum & prodigalson--I own one of the Magnoli Deckard Trenchcoats. It was money well spent; got it two years ago, I make good use of it when it's not global-warming Summertime. GREAT detailing; finest quality, superior workmanship IMHO it was more accurate than Abbyshots of two years ago.
