I'm trying to snag one of the metal kits -- where's the best place to reach him? |

Siderio is a member here, but I am not sure how much he logs on. He is pretty easy to contact through his website though...
http://sidkit.com/
He also usually has one up on Ebay all the time, but not currently.

Should I just order the kit through his site or should I wait to hear back via e-mail? |

Your choice on that, I can't tell you, but either way you need to contact him directly to purchase it. It isn't an automated check out like Amazon. |

I am wrong about SidKits not having an automated checkout. It seems he can also accept paypal on his site as well. Either I missed it the first time I looked or just plain forgot since I never ordered off his site. I may have to get his Steven Dane COP 357 prototype kit. |

I echo mspaw's experience.
I ordered 2 kits (I think he only charged me shipping for 1, too) and they arrived in less than a week from Italy to Florida.
Shipping only cost me about $10 USD and when I saw the invoice for DHL, he paid almost 80 Euros for express, trackable shipping. This was back when the dollar was starting to get pretty weak against the euro so it probably cost him about $100 USD to mail my 2 kits.
Great customer service as we chatted through email too!
