Just curious... is anybody else working down to the wire on their gun???
New member here, figured I should participate in the contest even though this will be my first BR prop ever, and it has to be on the fly. I'm actually quite nervous about it, there are some AMAZING blasters here! Timmay, my jaw hit the floor when I saw your snub! Good luck to all!

TICK-TICK-TICK-TICK

Less than 38 hours left, Ladies and Gentlemen. Get cracking on that last minute assembly and weathering because time is slipping away.

You're tellin me! Time runs out even more quickly when you fall asleep last night instead of finishing your gun! Now I'm REALLLY in trouble. I think it will be done though... maybe not the way I wanted it but hey, what can you expect for 2 days worth of work? Very Happy

Okay... here she is... not a moment too soon either. Just keep in mind that while it's not my first prop it's my very first Blade Runner prop. Not to mention a 2day build. Not sayin that gets special treatment because it doesn't but... here we go.
Also, a camera disclaimer... sorry but these were shot on a cell phone, and a cheaper than cheap digital. So the photos aren't exactly what I wanted but it's what I've got.
So without even more stalling... here we are...

Cheers to everybody who entered! Very Happy Okay so by the time these were posted it wasn't 230am anymore... it's still well before noon! Very Happy

Nice work on that custom, prototype7.

Just a quick note, the deadline is 11:59:59 PM, which is just before midnight, not noon, so there's still another ~15 hours to go.

Good luck to all my fellow procrastinators.

I am beginning to think it is even harder judging these without seeing them in person. Maybe I will have to PM you all with my address so you can send them to me, for like a week or so.... Wink

After that, we'll have to triangulate the locations of the judges, find the nearest bar to the center and meet up for a group drinking/judging session.

Man, this is going to be tough.

I can't figure out how to write out the Jeopardy theme song, or I'd be using that.

This is going to be tough. I have a feeling us judges will be discussing the choices for a while. Either that or we get a dart out....just kidding;)

It looks like judging is happening as we speak. The hard part is that everyone has so many favorites, that narrowing it down to just one is a real pain in the butt!

Everyone here did a magnificent job and everyone should be congratulated on creating the most beautiful blasters I have ever seen custom or otherwise.

Stay tuned!

Tom

Well said.

Yes, judging is underway, I expect it won't take too long.

I'd also like to say thank you to everyone who tossed thier hat into the ring with some awesome entries. It's been a lot of fun to watch the contest grow.

Now Shocked back to judging.

I don't envy the judges on this one--there's a bunch of great entries here!

I talked to amish over the weekend about donating another prize, and he welcomed the idea. So, I'd like to donate a little something to all of the entrants, just for making the effort of entering the contest

I just posted a thread about my latest project, which can be read HERE---if any of the 9 contest entrants would like one of these, all they need to do is send me a PM here with their name & address, and I'll get one mailed out to them.

No strings attached---if you want one, PM me...if not, no problem
