I'll ask my source about the manufacturing company and where those bottles were put together...as for the picture; my post of Oct. 01 is of the front of the bottle. It's difficult to photograph since the letters are gold and small. I'll do some research for other caps next week  |

Just got around to finishing mine up last month:
Still haven't decided whether or not to buy some JWB to totally complete the piece.

Nice bottle! And good job on the angles of the labels and ribbon. 
Judging from that last line of your post, where you spelled "never" with an "a" and forgot to hold down the shift key when you typed the last two exclamation points, I'd say it looks as if you're not telling us the whole truth about whether you've decided to lay in a supply of JWB...

Nice I still need to assemble mine, I have 2lt of JWB on the way to me so I am still looking for a good air tight cap. What cap did you use?

Very recently, Paul came through BIG TIME for me and I took ownership of a second masterpiece. It is supposed to be one of the very few remaining, if any at all,
of the "seconds" bottles but i can not find a fault with it.
The O.B. Bottle will always be the centerpiece of my collection, to have two of them is just unreal and although i fully support any
future bottle projects and would purchase anything up to par, the O.B. Bottle will always be the original and the best.
Havin one for you pal.

Totaly agree with you Tim, Paul did an amazing job on those bottles ! (I also own 2 of them and think of Paul when I use them from time to time)

Yea, you could buy it instantly for $1500. I am looking for one of these bottles but I suspect that it will easily go for $600 to $700 even with a crack.
Boy, I hope someone does a run of these very soon

I know I run the risk of being flamed, but JWBL Whiskey as made and sold in the UK comes with a cork top and not a screw cap and yes I know we see Bryant apparantly unscrewing a bottle . I also have one of Paul excellent bottles and I managed to get the crack repaired ( this is specialist glass blower work and is expensive and there are no guarantees, as you run the risk of the bottle being destroyed) , the only problem now is the opening in Paul's bottle is to big to take a JWBL cork - even one carefully hidden in a cap. However, you can fix up a good substitute , get a champaigne cork and using a sharp knife and your bottle cut the cork close to fit, then using a blocksander, sand the cork plug until it's smooth and round, now take a suitable cap that fits over the bottle neck and using a non- toxic PVA glue , fix the cork plug in to the cap. You now have an air-tight cork top for your bottle !! Using a non-toxic PVA type glue, is so you don't poison youself drinking the whiskey !!

I don't know why you'd get flamed. JWB is topped with a cork here in the US too (JWR is a screw cap). And actually, to me it looks like Bryant is just sort of twisting off a cork top. There aren't any threads visible on the bottle. *shrugs*

It was on a table with a bunch of junk at a flea market. It was about twice as tall as it is now & it has a Smirnoff Vodka logo on top of it (but for whatever reason, it's just the eagle shape, no banner or lettering):
It's made of steel, so I had to cut it to length with a dremel. It also had a plastic sleeve inside it, that was slightly too narrow for the bottle neck. I dremeled out the inside (closer to the top of the inner sleeve), so that you sort of have to squeeze the cap on, until it gets close to being all the way on, & it seats itself with a little pop. I'm pretty sure it's air tight.

I carry a small tap messure with me to messure caps.
One day there will be a compilation of CCTV footage of me checking bottle cap sizes in a string of stores on one of those "worlds stangest CCTV" shows. The chemists and cosmetic stores are the worst.

| I haven't tried the Smirnoff vodka one , and that a nice excuse to buy a bottle! - but I believe the Finlandia Vodka bottle top is a good fit , but you do have to remove the plastic insert first and sand the inside a little , then proceed as I described to fit the cut down champagne cork . |
