|
|
I have for sale or trade a real and correct version of the AN-H-15 summer flight helmet for sale with the WWII headset that can be made into Gaff's spinner flight helmet. I am asking $100...now $65 plus shipping for the set, but will consider trades and offers. I might even throw in a Plantronics Voicetube as well.
The helmet does have some dry rot to it, but is still pretty flexible, but one of the snaps tore nearly off, and will need to be reinforced. I would reinforce the inside of the entire helmet if you are planning on wearing it just in case. It is a size medium which just fits me. Not sure 100% of my hat size though. It is tight on me but so is the one in the movie on Ed . It also still has the mask clip, and chin strap (not shown). The headset has the small rubber ear pads that come off as seen in the pics below, and still works, but would need to be rewired with a new plug if you plan on using them. The skull in the pics below is NOT included

This is still available, and the price is now $65 (+shipping) for both pieces. The condition of the headset is very good, and the helmet is fair, but better than it sounds above. should be perfect for display piece.
Thank you,
Andy |

I may have to rephotograph the set...my model seems to have been a little underfed.

Do I have to lower the price on this a little more?

I may sell to military collectors because they sell for a lot at shows...I have seen similar condition helmets for a couple hundred. The prices online fluctuate a lot, and you can always get a good deal if you are patient enough. I may just do the repairs on it and try again. I will take offers though. I am still trying to ID the smaller seen parts to complete them as Gaff helmets. I have a couple of the things I have bean searching for. This one is an extra for me.
