After being totally blown away (pun intended) by the new Dredd movie I've been inspired to dig out my old airsoft Glock and put it to good use...

from this...

to something along the lines of this...

After gathering as much of, actually all the reference material there is out there, I set about laying out some templates in Photoshop...here's the progress so far on one side...

And today I decided to print out the parts onto paper and test fit..I think this might just work!

Everything is so far just flat with no curves or proper angling but it fits!

Respect
P.

Excellent project Baron (lots of research on the RPF also). Love what you did with the paper prop; it's a very good way to see if it's going to fit Cool

totally forgot to post my progress here! it's moved along quite considerably since October...

after the paper templates I went on to start building using styrene sheet..

then fleshing it out with milliput

then primer, sand, primer, sand, primer, sand until...

it's still not finished, I have some laser etched serial plates, an LED screen that may or may not go in, shells for the fore mag and some other random bits and pieces but it's very satisfying to handle, quite heavy and sturdy...I think..still don't want to drop it Very Happy

aaaaaaand.....it fires...

bit more progress today..received my personalised serial number plate...looks lovely I think and makes the prop even more unique Very Happy

also had a little fun making an alternate 'silenced' barrel that can be swapped out with the standard one. Needs a bit of work but the idea is sound.

Ive been checking out the various builds of this at different places coz I MUST have one when the dust has settled and yours is by far the best ive seen so far.
With the selectable barrels and the electronic panel working, I doubt yours will be bested, congrats.

ah thanks sir! much appreciated.

There are some very good versions out there but most of them seem to miss the odd important (in my eyes) detail here and there.

There's still a hell of a lot to do on this one too until I'm happy with her.

again thanks for the kind words

Very Happy
