Incredible piece.

Parts are super smooth and ready to rock. Arrived super fast too!

Bonus Policeman parts

On a real Boomstick Charter

Barrel is unfortunately cast into the recover but the good news it is plugged with a hunk of metal so the entire plastic receiver has some serious heft to it.

Barrel has a metal bar through it.

Yup. It is plugged with a chunk of metal giving it a great heft.

Barrel is also cast into the receiver from the looks of it.

A steel Barrel would be a nice upgrade - hint hint!

Looks awesome. The bar going across the barrel
looks like it complicates taking it off even more.
By doing that it would throw a drill off center if
you try to dill it out. I guess an end mill might
work but I think the real problem would be holding
it while its milled out.
I think maybe I'll see what kind of finish I can get
on the plastic barrel. I saw Geros (spelling)
Tomenosuke on another thread and I think his barrel
looks great.

Are you getting your own, or would you like to borrow mine? It should be here sometime next week.

I believe the bar is attached to a piston? And u just tap it out w/ hammer.
I'll need one in hand to know for sure.

I have a "world con pro" but I'm not about to tare it down. Plus, from what
I understand. A few changes have been made.
So it no guarantee that it will match. I don't have plans for a "kit" version.
So yes. I will need to borrow one to work it out.

On the good side, I'm 100% positive I can make it work. And w/out doing
Any damage to the kit it self. The only pc that will need to be sacrificed,
Is the plastic barrel. But that what I'll be re placing.

The remainder of the bulldog frame will be unharmed.

That bar across the barrel looks like it could be "dremelled" out with some cutting/grinding bit maybe.

I might be able to be tapped out , I'll have to see.
Either way it should be a great build. I have some
solution that is supposed to blue zinc so I'm going
to give it a try when I get mine. I hope it will look ok.
If it works well I'll let you guys know the brand.

U do not want to do that ! The metal will heat up and melt the plastic.
Oops, prop ruined.
W/ the amount of money these cost, if u want to mod it?
Do yourself a favor and stick w/ the pros.

Again, remember the trick: put your plastic piece into the fridge before working on it and melting the plastic with dremel bits, or drill bits, etc.

I used that trick many times, specially in fragile pieces (small wall thickness, or long tube like pieces), heck, I even put a plastic bag full of ice near my work area to make sure the part could be cooled off asap while working on it Wink

Some plastic melt very quickly, while others less: try to drill a part that is not seen before experimenting with the real one if possible.

Now, that bar in the middle will be hard to remove, but not impossible; I think you'll have to find a drill/dremel bit that is the size of the barrel while making sure that barrel is clamped and will not move. Wether horizontaly or verticaly, you'll have to drill slowly even if it takes you a week to do so Very Happy

Good luck to all.

I don't know if anyone noticed, but the bulldog frame + barrel is either cold cast resin or white metal. The black is just a flat finish.

I picked mine up from the post office on the way in this morning. I haven't had time to investigate, but yes, the black is just a finish. Definitely different than the Pro. I guess it could just be a zinc spray on top of plastic that has then been treated, but either way, it's not just black plastic.

Look at the threads in the bulldog. They should have been cut after the
part was finished?
See if it looks like metal?
