|
|
Hey there everyone! I am currently starting a new project with the help of RacProps & Richard Coyle! I will be building several blank firing versions of the infamous nlaster we all love! I haven't started them yet, just assembling the parts etc that I need before getting things underway! Not sure what they will be going for but if anyone is interested hit me up here and I will try to get a list together... I will only be making about 5-10 of these...that's it! After that I doubt I will do anymore.. depending on how much time it takes to make them etc.. anywsys, I'm looking forward to theproject and I'm guessing the first finished models will be done around the holidays st the earliest...this is gonna be fun! A firing version of the gun I've always wanted to own without a lot of the legal hassles involved with a real gun! Whoo hoo! Cheers! |

I will be posting pictures of the first one as I go...I am currently awaiting parts. Once I get everything I need I will begin to post photos of the work as it happens... that way people can see what I'm doing...once one is built I will post pictures of me shooting it and a video link as well.. thanks, cheers!

Also, just to clarify things Richard is helping me with some parts and schematic designstuff...he is not helping me build these in any way...I wanted to make this clear to everyone so there will not be any confusion about these blasters. Again, I am in the starting phases of this project so it could be a bit before even the first one is finished but I thought I would put it out there ...cheers everyone! |

As far as screen accuracy goes I am going to do my best but the only blank firing Police Specials I can find are .38 caliber not .44!?"? So they will be closer in size to the Off World Blasters but alas they will fire blank rounds...the only size blanks that fit the models I'm hoping to use are 9mm. So as you can add there will be some differences already due to a lack of .44 Bulldog reproductions that for or actually any at all!? There's a company in New Yirk that foes stuff for the movies etc but they only rent...they DO NOT sell...I'm going to keep looking though. |

I know!? The only company that does anything with them is in NY and the rent them to movie arts ryc...they do not sell...I am going to be forced to use the .38 model now which will change the whole project and screen accuracy... I'm slightly disappointed... but it will still be fun!?! |

Please tell me you will make the grips the accurate size...
My off world has just become very disappointing to me... |

Yes, they will be! I'm acguly thrilled with my Off World ever since I modified it with mostly real .38 parts..it weighs in at 3 ¾ lbs and all NY LED's light up now as well as I have dummy rounds for it! It was not cheap to upgrade theparts but its much more pleasant yo hold and use for costuming...I highly recommend you do these upgrades and you will be way happier with it! However, the ones I'm hoping to make will be a lot closer yk screen accurate as well as they will fire blanks...e in if its the wrong size...to me, the idea is still cool...cheers! |

After that I will begin construction on 2 blasters first...IF all goes well and they turn out as well as I hope I may take orders for afew depending on demand. Im not sure about pricing or anything so stay tuned as I work out all the details and physics involved withtbis build...til the next post...cheers!!!! |

My biggest issue is I cannot find blank firing versions of the S&W .44 anywhere?! Thus I am forced to use the .38 ...which will make them the same size as an Off World but with the right size grips etc so only the frame, cylinder and caliber will be off. Still should be a lot of fun to attempt! Cheers! |

Maybe I'm a complete idiot, but what's wrong with a real S&W .44 shooting blank? |
