Terribly sorry for the necropost fellas,

However, i felt that this was the most suitable place.

My name is Brandon, and i run Brandomack Productions. We specialize in prop replicas, and custom displays.

www.brandomackproductions.com

Staar and I have been in communication in regards to a production run of his box.

The prototype is currently in the works, and professional photos will be posted once it is complete.

What i can tell you...

These custom-made boxes will be constructed from cherry, and will have antiqued brass hardware. The lining will be fitted to receive multiple versions of the PKD, whether Tomenosuke, Worldcon, Offworld or Sidkit.
The interior will feature a very rich and thick grade of dark green velvet.

Because cherry is a photo-sensitive wood, the boxes will first be tanned to age and weather them. They will then be finished with a blonde shellac. Shellac takes water spots and coffee rings quite well to artificially age and over time will develop a very rich colour and depth.

A few embellishments that the boxes will contain...
- Laser engraved Steyr PKD logo on the top
- Cold Cast Bronze "City of Los Angeles" seal in the inset
- Custom-made data tag using Staar's front box label
- 1 Weyland Corp .44-40 Ammo box (weathered)

They will be available in pristine condition, as well as weathered.

This will be a limited edition of 25 and each box will be numbered.

There is a tremendous amount of work being done to bring these cases into production, the price will be reflected in that.

Thank you all for reading. If you would like to reach me, i can be contacted at brandomackproductions@gmail.com

Exciting stuff! I'm in, pending price and final pics Smile

About the ammo box, I prefer the original version Staar posted on the front page, would these be an option?
Also not too keen on the Alien/Blade Runner cross over with the Weyland references. Is that only present on the red band which is removable?

Yes, the red strip is removable. I would have to speak with Staar in regards to his label.

I can confirm that brandomack and I have agreed to put this into production and I am very excited to see how it turns out.

Because this is brandomack's interpretation, the new box won't be exactly the same as my original but it will still feature some of the elements I used in my build as he described in his post.

Beastmaster, we hadn't discussed the box label but I'm more than happy to make it available for replication if you feel its something that would add further value to the package.

This has been a long time coming because my initial efforts were murdered by the excessively high costs of having these built in Australia.

Cheers to all

Regards
MARK

Thanks Mark.

Your box is an inspiring work of art, it reminded me of when i attended film school at VFS for Art Direction..We studied Blade Runner frame by frame, it took the entire year to watch.

I'm happy and humbled to be permitted to contribute.

Thanks Staar Smile though thinking about it I might design my own ammo box as I'm after something a bit more graphical and retro fitted.

Found this image (though cant seem to find any more of this ammo box) and really love the design of the logo on the right, looks like something Tom Southwell would have come up with Very Happy

I like the two-part box too with the ripped label to indicate it's been opened. Also something about the info on the box being in German might be cool.

Anyway, sorry back on gun box topic.. Looking forward to seeing pics of the cherry box Cool

I'm very proud to reveal our finished prototype.

With special thanks to Staar, amd to Rick Ross - Owner and Creator of Pflager Katsumata.

For your viewing pleasure...

This cherry wood box has been tanned for 4 hours, and is finished in 3 coats of Blonde Shellac, hand mixed and applied for optimum results.

Cherry is a photo-sensitive wood, and will develop a rich, deep patina over the years.

The custom designed data plate, each box will be numbered, as you can see this prototype is BMP - 001

and the inset...

The City of Los Angeles seal.

These boxes require quite a bit of work to create, and as a result I have set the price at $399 USD plus shipping.

These are high-end displays for high-end prop replicas.

I do accept payment plans, email me for more information.

Shipping

$60 USD Domestic
$90 USD Worldwide

Tracking and insurance is provided.

I will be limiting this current run to 20 boxes.

If you would like a box, please PM me or email me at brandomackproductions@gmail.com
