With all due respect, I find the price somewhat daunting.. |

If you find the price daunting, you can look elsewhere and move on.
Please do not post remarks that are easily taken to be 'price bashing'.
Posts like yours (price bashing) are not tolerated in, for example, the replica prop forum and members are warned about this with offending posts removed.
Likewise, I would hope that Propsummit.com would do the same with posts like yours.

Don't know if there is a policy around price bashing here...
Anyway, I guess people here are smart enough to just google "HAL 9000 panel", no? |

"Phase Pistol" a.k.a. Karl Tate. Karl was the major designer / consultant on the SD Studios Ltd. HAL 9000 project via the rpf & Steve Dymzso. Hence, he is seeing one of his "babies" being offered up for slaughter... heee hee. |

Ah, OK. Didn't know that. Great prop. Too bad that Stephen's reputation is not too good at this moment. On the RPF, legal action is started agains Sthephen for not delivering dozens of MiB neuralyzers that are already paid for. All in all he almost owns people there $20K.
Too bad, since the quality of his props was always great. I own a HAL panel too, and also his '89 batman grapple gun. That last one is just unbelievable in quality and appearance! |

Yes... I heard about those issues over at the other Forum.....so I /we won't go into details about Steve's problems with the MIBlack stuff etc.....not on this thread anyway.
This is a happy thread about the cool SD Studios' HAL 9000, the enigmatic evil computer (....HAL was just a confused soul with conflicting subroutines in his programming )

I'm owed $250 for a HAL9000 plaque from the second batch with corrected dimensions. IT was supposed to be ready but it took time and time and time and it was never ever finished. |
