|
|
Not done yet (obviously), but here are a few shots of the progress I've made on my 1:1 scale build inspired by the Nostromo's pantry.
My camera wasn't getting much detail without the flash (but then the flash just made it look awful) so I played a bit with the pictures. please indulge me.
The Freya 7 has a much smaller crew so instead of ten cup there are six, instead of three shelves there are two, and instead of two coffee pots there is one. The Nostromo pantry is a surprisingly complex design for something that gets so little screen time, and I wasn't able to replicate it exactly, but I hope you will enjoy the similarities and pardon the differences.
Next up: lots more Weylan-Yutani logos, more food containers on the bottom shelf, and the pipe leading up from the coffee pot needs to be installed. The cup holder is just a cardboard stencil at the moment, once I have the measurements figured out I will replace it with wood. |

Thank God for artificial sleep, so the crew doesn't have to eat often
JK Retrogarde; love the set-up for sure (I like how you've placed the paper holder in there and it certainly looks Nostromo-like) |

Absolutely love it! Was on a kick back in the day to put Deckard`s kitchen together, this works much better. _________________ Formerly offworld66 |

Deckard's kitchen is great too. I love the "motion sensor" lights in his apartment. |

Mmm...don't like the look; I think white is more in keeping with the overall look. (looks like Ikea now ) |

Ha! No, this was before I painted it! A co-worker offered to make it (I'm rubbish with woodworking), so I took a photo then. It's gotten a few good coats of white paint since.
Wood on a spaceship? Very 70's I guess! |

This is wonderful! I wish it was B&B.
How much do you charge for a weekend? |

Now that is an interesting notion!
A weekend stay that is the opposite of restful because at some point you know a guy in an alien costume is going to jump out and scare you! |
