I don't think I've ever posted anything non BR related on propsummit, and I have a LOT of stuff to show off. The first though is going to be my most recent build.
I will start with the completed gun, and some photos of what will soon be the case for the gun, made from an ammo can that holds 81mm mortars.
This is for a short film I'll be making with my brother down in Detroit. Titled The Armory. A little concept drawing.
And something I put together mostly for fun, but will find a place for in the film. A poster on a wall, or a user manual cover.
My next build will be the wire for jacking into the gun's stock and the visor for operators that don't have neural ports. _________________ I don't have enough blasters! |

Gosh, this is great. Did you use several different guns? The base seems to be an UZI, but with an unfamiliar grip (this is a firearms layman wildly stabbing in the dark).
I would totally believe that this is something Roy Batty would have handled offworld. |

The base gun is a commercially available blank pistol. It's made in Turkey, it's called an Ekol Asi. It sort of looks like an UZI. It's a beretta 92 replica inside a plastic shell. Here are some work in progress photos so you can see how I built it.
It's a "top venting" model so the muzzle flash comes out the top. My first order of business was to redirect that flash forward.
Then I needed to build it out to look cyberpunk.
The gun is intended to have a smart targeting system that the operator can jack directly into. Here is the port. Still need to build the cable.
The stock was built disconnected from the gun.
Then painted up.
Here is the initial concept sketch I grew together.
Here are a few shots of the gun in the new case I'm building up too. This will be foamed lined.

The metal looks very white in those photos. Here is a close up of some metal bits added.
The gun has quite a bit of metal on her. _________________ I don't have enough blasters! |

Thank you for the kind words. I only ever played killzone 1, but I have always liked the weapon designs from the game. It inspired a recent nerf gun conversion.
I'm a gun guy. Have been for most of my life. I come from a family of military men, and would have been myself if not for health issues. I have a large collection of guns from movies, live fire WWII rifles, and many many pistols. And I've built prop guns for friends, and for a handful of small budget films.
I'll be posting up a lot more of my stuff in this particular forum. Not sure why I haven't before this. _________________ I don't have enough blasters! |

Chopped-down Franchi SPAS 12 foregrip upside down on top at the business end?

Thank you BTW. I was worried about the grain showing through.
I meant to address this earlier. My plan was to use MDF or lexan. I could not find what I was looking for though and ended up picking up a table top kit that was pre sanded. Smooth as glass.
Worked out well. It added some weight though, which ultimately gives it a nice balance.

Yes indeed. I have a few laying around from leftovers after pulse rifle builds and I have always thought it looked really "seburo" and Ghost in The Shellish. Always knew it was going on top of some gun build. _________________ I don't have enough blasters! |

Think I can spot an ejection port cover from an M4/M16 on the stock there too, love the great use of all the different bits to dress it up _________________ Tell him I'm eating.. |

Thank you! I have buckets full of greeblies.
The M4 port cover is from my busted airsoft Dragon. It wouldn't stay closed (which was annoying) so I just popped the pin and spring out and took it off.
I think the Dragon looks better without the cover anyhow.
In the context of The Hammerhead, I thought it would be a cool way to access the wiring for the neural port on the other side of the stock, without having to remove anything from the stock. It's an access door for working on the smart gun aspects of the gun.

Finally got out and put some blanks through it. It fires, it cycles, it just needs to be very oiled. I had 3 malfunctions in 2 magazines worth of blanks because it was just too dry.
I did try to have some video done. My buddy Nick ended up recording in between shooting though. Which is pretty funny. So we'll try it again before the snow flies. _________________ I don't have enough blasters! |

The base gun looks more like a Steyr TMP than anything else to me, though not an exact match. |
