I was reading an old post of Refinery1's scratch-built refinery and notice an interesting photos yours.
It's the one about halfway down the page.
Is that a scale model of the Nostromo's lift and support strut?
Sure does look like it.
What's the story behind that? |

Hi Darrell,
To answer your question this is an old photo of original items made during production and owned by Phil Rae at the time it was taken...
The refinery is a prototype built iirc by Martin Bower, it's now part of the collection of sciencefictionarchives.com (not displayed on their site but shown in a book they released last year titled "Generations Science-Fiction")
