Does anyone have a spare machined steel or aluminium barrel for a Tomenosuke?
Cash waiting.
I'm in the UK.
Thanks,
Karl |

Hey Stu,
I'm not on the RPF, sadly.
I've had Ted's barrels before. Didn't know hw was still making them.
Best,

I wouldn't count on Teddz for the moment, the long paid cylinder run is still not done, I don't think we ever seen a finished part.
The thread for his barrel is inactive since mid July, I personnaly choose to have 10 made by a machinist here in Canada, based on the dimension DaveG kindly offered to the community some times ago.
I should have the parts on hand before the end of january. |

Thanks for responding to this thread.
I have had some problems with Ted before.
Will your ten barrels be a direct replacement for the Tomenosuke?
Will you offer your barrels for sale?
If so, what price each?
Best,
Karl |

My calliper says yes but I can only confirm it 100% upon receipt.
I was not planning to do a run of 10 at the beggining, but it was the minimum number for the machinist to accept the contract.
If there is no additional cost involved by the machinist, I should be able to offer them for less than what Tedds was offering them. |

Is there any word on this, Helix?
If not, I'm still looking for a barrel for the Tomenosuke. Steel or Aluminum.
Anybody? |

From your PM, I'm a little concerned with the timescale at the moment.
Can you please update when you have an accurate estimate of price and delivery date?
Many thanks,
Karl |

They look very nice.
Unfortunately, I sourced an aluminium barrel since I didn't know exactly when yours would be finished and available.
I will contact you if I need one in the future.
Best,
Karl |

Hello,
I would also be interested with a couple of Steel barrel.
@Helix: do you have barrels remaining from the barrels run you ordered to the machinist, for sale and shipment to France?
@Skin-Job: for my info and since we're from the same side of the globe, could you please share where did you source your barrel?
BR

I have about 20 Tomen barrels.... Some will be cold blue, most machined finish bare steel; 2 longer-than-normal barrels (these will be for a suppressor); 1 sidkit....
There are also 6 stainless steel.
No aluminum at this time since the supplier is closed due to all this.
One brass... and a partridge in a pear tree.
I have sent all over Europe, and the rest of the world actually, without issue. If asked for a declaration, I list it as "metal toy parts". Never had an issue in the 4 years I've been making the barrels. And usually within the EU, it takes 3 days from when I ship them to arrive. |
